I’m a scientist…or I was going to be, but I dropped out of college for reasons I’ll tell you later. This old guy right here? (Hey!) That’s my uncle, Dr. Henry Jekyll. I’ve been crashing at his place since I left Ingolstadt. Apparently he was a really cool chemist or something. Now he mostly hangs out in his lab upstairs with this “Edward Hyde” guy. (He’s really weird, but if he’s friends with Uncle J, I guess he’s alright.) Oh, that even older guy with the ‘stache? (Hey!!!) That’s Poole. An axe-wielding badass!…And Uncle J’s nurse. He’s pretty intense, and probably the only reason my uncle’s still alive today…Anyway, this is my lab. It’s an old surgical theater–yeah, people dissected human bodies here. And now I can use it for my own projects! And this freaky cadaver on the table? [music picks up] Well, that’s what this story is about. [fades into theme song accompanied by weirdly long beginning credits]
