Villa M review 💛 “A worn leather suitcase complete with peeling P&O stickers sits in the corner, a signed Donald Bradman photo, bookshelves lined with Grisham, Patterson etc contrast delightfully with photos from the 30s, and Do’s and Don’ts for Husbands/Wives are as relevant today as they were when first published in 1913. These are just some of the eclectic mix of collectables that sit wonderfully in the context of this beautiful villa “ . With its white washed walls, picket fenced balconies, teak floors the villa is gloriously reminiscent of some colonial outpost in a bygone era, whilst top-of-the-range amenities, crisp modern bathrooms and kitchen comfortable furnishings bring the villa very much up to date. A distinct Eastern touch with black and white camel bone inlayed tables and chairs and hand crafted silver draw sets. Spread over three storeys, the villa is in the heart of Fisherman’s Village, Koh Samui’s quaint and quiet street of beachside restaurants, bars and boutiques- very different to the hustle and bustle of Chaweng, the island’s tourist centre 15 minutes’ drive away. The roof-top jacuzzi has palm-top views over Bo Phut Bay and down the beach of Fisherman’s Village, whilst the calm waters of the Guif of Siam are only a short step from the pool on the beachfront terrace and lawn studded with tropical coconut palms.
