I’d just like to say that what you are seeing is artists representations. Therefore what you are seeing is what the artist (and not the church!) believes to have taken place, as oppose to what actually happened. The images widely used in church materials merely represent ONE way, the most well known way perhaps, in which Joseph Smith translated, therefore is most educationally beneficial for all ages. No one was there to sketch out the translating of the plates. It’s like when we see different ways the Saviour is represented in paintings. No one can truly say what the Saviour looks like. What you are seeing is how an artist sees the Saviour. I do understand that there were different ways that Joseph Smith translated the plates, we can learn that from various journals of people who were actually there. If people want to find out more about the translation process, they are free to do that. Therefore I don’t feel it’s fair to say the church is “hiding” this from us. It’s readily available on LDS.org and other church material whether he did it through a hat, behind a cloth or out in the open, the point is he translated these place with divine inspiration from the power of God. .
I'm still here: but I've moved!!

Wow what a powerful word !!! God will always be available but we have to trust in Him. Having that connection with God will give you the assurance. He will keep you safe when you feel lost, he will always respond because there is nothing impossible for HIM. If you lost faith just begin to do what you did before when you were in the most high with him. Have a blessed Friday everyone !! #GodisGood #Godistheonlyanswer #faith #test #smile
Are you polygamists?
Do you worship Joseph Smith?
Isn’t Mormonism a cult?
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, any more questions?
When your best friend at church calls you a "Dry Mormon"...
I think it's become my new favourite term...
I saw this and I couldn’t stop laughing!
Ex-mormons are always telling recent converts and investigators to leave the Church immediately upon encountering feelings of unworthiness. How cowardly of them. How quick to give up. As if those feelings don’t come outside of the Church too. As if they’re not normal. I’ve felt “unworthy” of…

Just a little reminder :) #Mormon #God #tumblrstake
hi, I'm non-LDS but I just had some questions, I was hoping you could possibly answer? 1. are there such things as.. "liberal" Mormons? 2. can non-LDS date LDS people? Thanks!
1. There are definitely liberal mormons. Whether the class themselves as that is another question but you have the right to express your beliefs in your own way,2. As for dating non members that's completely possible too. I'm right now suggestively seeing a guy in the church and I have been baptised. But when dating members it's important that we understand and respect their beliefs and standards. Basically don't do anything you wouldn't feel comfortable doing if your parents were watching. There's a for strength of youth booklet which outlines standards for dating. But it's perfectly fine.I love questions so if you want to ask my anything again in future don't hesitate. :) I hope I've helped as far as I can...
To all members:
You actually don't know how lucky you all are to even have the opportunity to go and participate in church. I've active and attending church for about a week and a half now and absolutely loving it. I've had to wait a good eight months to do this and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to do so. Everyone I'm meeting here is absolutely lovely and I can feel my testimony growing from strength to strength. So this is just a small thank you to everyone I've been talking to for the past few weeks and months for helping me keep the faith strong and leading me to what I'm doing today. Baptism still seems like an unattainable goal, but it's only been a week and things can change. But I know that prayer works and I just pray that one day in the Lords timing it will happen.
First lesson of institute tonight! 😊
Welcome to the cool kids club! So excited been waiting for this for a long time.
A Mormon parody of ‘Teenage Dream’. I’m in the wrong church aren’t I.
This is actually adorable!

“We are to use the Book of Mormon in handling objections to the Church. …
“… All objections, whether they be on abortion, plural marriage, seventh-day worship, etc., basically hinge on whether Joseph Smith and his successors were and are prophets of God receiving divine revelation. …

You cannot pray for an A on a test and study for a B. You cannot pray for a celestial marriage and live a telestial life. You cannot pray for something and act less.
