Bullseye! The amazing journey of the paper plane at the England vs Peru game at Wembley. No wonder there was a big roar. Of course someone will say, 'It could have taken a player's eye out' and now those atmosphere clapper things will be banned, but what an effort! It certainly even topped Daniel Sturridge's goal as the shot of the game. It's a good job all 83,000+ of the Wembley crowd didn't make planes and throw them at the same time!

What? A special KKK-style England flag by Asda for the World Cup? Maybe a bit naive by the Asda design team? Asda maybe unaware of the amount of racist abuse that was going around aimed at black English players who missed penalties in the Euros against Italy two year's ago. Imagine those fans wearing these flags and it doesn't paint a pretty picture. An Asda spokesman prefered to see the practical side of the flags, when responding to the wave of Twitter outrage at its KKK style - 'We want customers to get behind the team without getting wet.' Apparently there's a Brazilian one too, which might be a more tasteful choice. I might get that one to use when riding my bike during showers then!

Louder than words: Brazilian graffiti clashes against the World Cup

While the protests that took place during last summer’s Confederations Cup were overwhelming and affecting, recent news out of Brazil suggests that what we saw last year might have only been a precursor to a larger movement set to convene just as the World Cup looks to kick off in less than two weeks.

From teachers to doctors, artists to indigenous populations, the Brazilian population is once again uniting against a perceived neglect on the part of the Brazilian government. With taxpayer funds gone missing, local businesses shunned in favor of multinational conglomerates, and many Brazilians left in an unstable position as both housing costs and forceful evictions increase, Brazilians are angry, and rightfully so.

But while last summer’s protests focused upon mass gatherings as a primary means to garner international attention, organizers and frustrated Brazilians have shifted tactics, utilizing a variety of platforms to spread their message. And what could be more arresting for visitors to Brazil than anti-World Cup graffiti in the cities hosting matches?

Shocking scenes 29-years-ago from the fire at Bradford City's Valley Parade, where 54 Bradford City fans and two Lincoln City fans lost their lives. Bradford celebrated the old Division Three championship trophy around the ground before kick-off to add an even crueler edge to the day. Flame on! A dumb Polish police man decides it's a good idea to pepper stray a football supporter holding a flare. So stupid, you wouldn't even bother making it up in photoshop! In Europe, flares are common place and some countries even have stadiums with sections for controlled flare usage. While flares are understandably discouraged due to health and safety reasons, this pictures clearly shows ala Hillsborough, there is nothing more dangerous to a football supporter than a wreckless policeman.
