because THAT is who he is. he loves his stars and creations, he loves humanity, he loves the messiness, the good and the bad, the ugly and the beautiful, he loves watching them. he showed jesus all the kingdoms of the world to share that love with someone who he knows already felt it.

in the end, they made that choice together. it's a choice they have made before, over and over, saving humanity over themselves. no god, no angels, no demons, no thousands of years of suffering for all the millions of eternal beings.

personally, i choose to believe that god's last gift to them was integrating them into the fabric of the new universe, so they will find each other in every lifetime. but without anyone watching, without any plan behind it, without senseless suffering, without creating stars just to destroy them.

The ending we got is the best ending we could have gotten. It's all they ever wanted. From the very beginning. From season 1 episode 1. From the beginning of time itself.

They only ever wanted each other and the universe. They wanted humans to have a chance of free will without influence from heaven or hell.

And they actually got it. They actually got what they wished for!

And still leave me satisfied and hopeful?

Like yeah it was rushed. But.. I mean… they didn’t send them to super hell either. So really, how can I complain? They got to find each other again and not have the hang ups of having sides…

like, how the fuck is this NOT homophobia? you profited off of the pain and struggles of the gay main character, profited off the pain of your queer audience, and now you’re saying that the extremely in-depth analysis the fans that loved your show did is just … “noise”???

you two and your cast were worried about getting the GOT treatment. maybe you shouldn’t have screwed them over because it’s clear that they hated the ending too, cementing the GOT treatment you wanted to avoid so badly. you can’t walk right into a knife and claim you were stabbed.

queer audiences have put up with this bullshit for too long with johnlock, destiel, hannigram, etc etc. this kind of pain, this kind of BETRAYAL is not new to us. but just because this happens often does not mean that the damage done is somehow lessened or something we should just get over.

straight people can write queer characters if they want, but to disrespect them like this shows that you are only using their gayness like a money machine. paintinggate, closetgate, the tense little moments between mike and will, all of it … those were DELIBERATELY weaved into your story as cash grabs, and everyone knows it.
