I often dream that I’m going to live at my parents’ house again, and in my dream, the house has shrunk. Or maybe the streets around have changed—garages have been built, and trees have grown. The decay and shrinking of Colin’s apartment comes from that. I’m obsessed with the differences that exist between places of the past and those of today. I want to see layers of wallpaper that demonstrate the passage of time."
