“Password?” He yelled out, quickly stepping away from his passed out victim. Wyatt was ready to attack the unknown heading towards his kill zone. He cleared his throat loudly, adding a cough for good measure and repeated himself. “Password!”

Wyatt bent over the lake, frantically washing his bloody hands, scrubbing away all traces of evidence that could lead him back to the body rotting right besides him. It wasn’t his first kill of the night but unlike the others, this one had put up a good fight.

“Run... Away...“ Wyatt growled over his shoulder to the approaching party as he continued to work his magic on the corpse laying broken beneath him.

“I understood the implication.”

“Are you now implying that there’s something wrong with having an interest in death? Dying is apart of living. And I want to study it.“

“You inject death into a lot of conversations.” It wasn’t accusatory, just a faux contemplativeness.

“And? But I didn’t mention death per say.“

“Not surprising.”

“Why do you think Luke is having you do this?”

“Because I showed interest in become a supernatural healer or doctor of sorts. Voodoo priest or natural herbalist the humans call it. But I wasn’t leaning towards the medical prospect of it... If you get what I mean.“

‘‘If you’ll fill in the form, you can take the books with you. If you want you can pick up your card in the morning. Is that okay?’‘

“Do you need any type of identification? I don’t have any yet.“ Wyatt played at innocent as he rapidly filled out false information.

    “Oh trust me, I know. I’ve been here for a while.”

“How can you make that sound anymore depressing?“

Adaline walked back to the counter and grabbed a paper. Then she walked back and handed out the paper. ‘’You can fill in the form to get a card if you’d like.’’

“Do you think I have time to turn this back in today with a checkout?“ Wyatt took the paper from here and skimmed over it.
