OK one more post about a knight of the seven kingdoms before i go to sleep.... so i have fallen into the dunk/lyonel (stormhedge?) hole and i love it here. It's hot and cute and i'm having a good time. Who doesn't wanna see a slutty old man being bent in half by a sweet giant??? i do. i do so much.

however, something that really tickles me about it is how clearly mostly one sided it is during the events of the show and how oblivious dunk is. like lyonel was clearly so much more into dunk than dunk is to him and dunk is SO oblivious about it!! Like this man is a MAJOR lord, with a lot of power, and dunk just kind of wanders into his life all stupid and earnest and big and lyonel responds by immediately trying to one up him in dance, getting horny when he fails and then crowning him like they're two drunk girls in a club bathroom, after which he spends the rest of the show slapping dunk's ass and showing up when dunk needs him the most and then professes that he will love him if he just comes home with him???? Like this man is down bad for this complete random nobody, willing to look kind of ridiculous about it, and dunk is like "no, sorry lyonel (because they are on first name terms??) i'm too angsty and tired of rich people and i want to sleep in the ditch." and you know lyonel spent the next year being pissed off about it and having sex dreams about dunk's big hands and imagining his big [redacted] meanwhile dunk is entirely oblivious to how much he rocked lord baratheon's whole shit just with his earnest sweetboy swaglessness. and they will fuck but it will take at least 5 more business years of before dunk is like "hey.... i think he's kind of beautiful... maybe it would be nice to kiss" meanwhile lyonel has been dying to get fucked by him the whole time. and that is beautiful!!

I can't believe this is how I'm finding out that I got a scam forklift cert.

I took the cargo ops class at school but my teacher explained that it doesn't give a certification and I'd only be okay for ship's crane and the school forklifts. she said I could take an online exam and get my cert. I paid 60 bucks.

I'm googling and I'm seeing a lot of resources saying that the online programs cover the classroom part of the exam but not the in person practical aspect.

so, I emailed OSHA, and they said that so long as I live and work in California, there's no such thing as forklift certification. I have to be told how to do it every time I get the job.

Update: I took a certification class in shipboard Material Handling Equipment at my federal job. *now* I'm forklift certified, but only on ships and piers and only for this company, but also rated to forklift explosives and hazardous materials. Also I'm a woman now.

This... Isn't as manipulatory and "assuming the opposition is stupid and has no real principles and can be trivially influenced" as some forms of this that I've seen, but... it's still got major problems. You haven't addressed contradictions between the left-wing cultural politics advanced here and aggressively individualistic libertarian American politics.

Sure, this is framing, but the actual principles matter a lot and people can tell when framing is being manipulated pretty easily.

First: the *fundamental* problem with the whole Gender Conflict is that (unlike gay marriage) a lot of it (especially lately) has been really *counter-individualist* and has involved pressure for people to accept the trans / left wing way of looking at it. They're often in favor of government restrictions, but they don't see the fundamental issue as being handed down from the government at all.

Second: theres a few different reasons for people to oppose unlimited immigration. Some of them are just racist, some of them are economic (and won't be supported by the libertarian types who are the implied target of this post), some of them are more pragmatic, but when you get to the level of open borders / presumptive citizenship for anybody physically present, then one of the big concerns for immigration is just going to be *paradox of tolerance*, or more generally the question of whether people who immigrate care about this kind of freedom or want to maintain it.

Third: obviously this post isn't aimed at them, but a lot of Americans very much believe in a form of freedom that isn't as individualist and libertarian as presented here or where society is ordered within a certain range.

Fourth: this is legitimately in tension with nondiscrimination law.

Fifth: OP, you had better not be hostile to / weird about women who voluntarily choose to be tradwives.
