I feel like there's something to be said about during the karaoke scene Mel keeps copying Santos. She looks over and sees Santos still has her mic in the stand so she puts hers back. When Santos takes her mic off the stand Mel (albeit awkwardly and with a bit of a struggle) takes hers of the stand. When they make eye contact Mel copies her dance moves. After Santos takes her hair down she copies her head banging. She's so gay.
