Omg one year ago today when TikTok got “banned” and I lowkey lost my shit- it was such a waste of time.

When the news around the ban first started I procrastinated on storing all of my stuff😭 causing me to almost lose a lot of my old videos I made in elementary school. I literally started storing stuff 3 days before the deadline (Jan 14) I downloaded (faves cloud video storage) just so I could store up all my saved videos and at the time the app really worked. I was so relieved cuz when I was in the denial stage for too long so I was actually it did get banned.

So yeah I offloaded the app that night a few hours after the ban. i had to remove tiktok from my home screen just so i'd stop clicking it (I also deleted it bc my storage was so full and I was annoyed with everything at the time so I was just like fuck it) Unknowingly that I shouldn’t have offloaded it at all in the first place because I didn’t fully understand what it meant. I wasn’t able to reinstall bc that’s what it does- it ACTUALLY deletes the application from your device but keeps all its documents and data. so I went without the app bc it was unavailable in the AppStore. And my dumb ass was acting like I was gonna die without it like- omg looking back at it now idk why it felt like the ban lasted longer than it actually was. I remember having to use the website version and it sucked cuz I couldn’t add anything to my saved. Also during that time I was seeing so many fire Arcane edits😭

And afterwards when they made it accessible for 90 days I didn’t want to experience the app going down again after the deadline was up so I kept checking the news around it seeing what was going to happen once the extensions were over. But good thing I didn’t have to worry about it anymore. With each delay I literally just gave up on checking.

Also that underwear scene as well as when they visited their house for the first time? OML that series used to make me laugh during the time I was going through a lot. It just made things better I remember I would watch it at night and just get lost in it and laugh. I ended up dropping it for reasons I don’t remember but I’m pretty sure it was just bc like I mentioned things were bad and I just didn’t continue anymore. But I’m kinda glad I get to finish it now at a much better time.
