Brain leakage.

Those group chats in general were more like current day discords. The one of the huge reasons they existed was as a way to find voices for stories. So in reality unless someone joined the calls that were generally about mundane nerd shit, stuff people were working on, what ever video game was being played, or speak in chat often it was entirely possible for someone to have been there the entire time but I never actually knew them.

This also muddies the water a lot, because you could have people in each others videos that were just someone who volunteered in chat. For me I did art for jr and rarely if ever talked to him, at least till a while later when we were both in a table top game tho he left fairly early into that and even now I have not spoken to him in years. I also don't remember kitten that doesn't me they weren't there just that I can't remember them.

Due to collabs coming out of that group there was also this perception community that it was a cool kids club. So even back in the day there was drama with people feeling like they were left out. If it was intentional or not the reality was those groups would get too big and personalities wouldn't mesh.

I admittedly left it several times and caused them to be reformed with a goal of staying small next time but it never really happened. (My pull in this regard was solely because I had no life and was always down for videogames so was in calls often. Before assumptions are made the most common reason I'd leave is if there was someone who was only interested in talking about themselves, or would cut off else's conversations to change to their topics. Strictly it was me not meshing well, and not due to and single drama that broke out. I would just rather step away then cause trouble.)

So did things of a lewd nature happen in the groups themselves, god no I never saw it and it'd be pretty weird given everything was publicly readable to everyone in those massive groups. Skype groups then only had a single chat. At most their might have been shitty jokes. I also do not remember a single time someone used a webcam. At the time group wide sharing tech like that wasn't nearly as prevalent, I don't think it got real good until discord came along. It was possible for one on one, conversations but not group wide especially at the size of those ones.

As for If things happened after I left? I have no idea, for all I know after the main stays left things went off the rails.

So in short if things happened outside of the groups I can't speak for it.

In general the creepypasta community has always had drama. People had others they didn't like, stories they hated, so if there was motivation to smear others reputations, maybe? But if there was actual shit like that going on in group it wouldn't have been stood for. I've got my own unrelated trauma from that kind of thing.
