getting misgendered by adults but universally correctly gendered by children makes me feel like some sort of fairy creature thats true form is only perceptible to children
I remember this one time I took my kid to the playground there was this other kid, a little boy probably about 6 yrs old, who asked me, "So... you're like, a girl right?" I replied, "Yep! I am a girl!" And then the 6yr old nods there head thoughtfully and goes, "Cool cool... ... ... Do you like it?" I couldn't contain my laughter as I gave an enthusiastic, "Yes, very much so!" To which they said, "That's cool š."
