This pass weekend was very different . Apart from being stressed out about starting university i got do to do something that is very dear to my heart.  Marching for the right and respect of children . See Colombia , in specific Cartagena , have a very party-oriented culture , and though that is not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to kids thats where we should draw the line . Kids here from a very young age are taught to be sexual or at least encourage in many lowly educated ares of the city, Child Pornography and child abuse is sadly also part of our society and something i want to be seen gone for good  . From dancing Champeta/reggeton  intimately with other children or even teens , to cussing and talking in a way no child should .

On Saturday 25th at 3pm my church Rios De Vida organised a March to protest against child corruption . We all wore white T-shirts and Stood in the centre of the Old Town to protest . There were about 400 of us . IT was great ! We Prayed and Sang kids songs , there were Clowns around giving balloons and they organised fun activities for the kids .

All in all the event was to Tell the people and the government that something needs to be done so that our children get to be children . That people need to be more educated and understand that opening a child’s eyes to the world of a grown up you are essentially taking away their childhood . you are robbing them of their innocence , and that has to stop . 

Kids need to remain kids for as long as they can . Their innocence shouldn't be corrupted in should be cherish and and be taken care of !

I meet great people that day and we had a great time with the kids . It was my first sort of protest but it feels good  to stand up for something your feel strongly about , so this is definitely not my last
