Be Still

get out of bed because there’s something you’re excited about.

don’t think about people who left.

clean the clutter in the room and dishes in your sink.

smile at yourself and random people.

do something kind and out of the blue to make someone happy.

work out or meet with friends even though you have no energy to.

calm yourself down when your thoughts race.

remember to drink water.

don’t dwell on things you can’t control.

do things good for yourself, even though you have no motivation.

Don’t compromise

Don’t settle

Don’t lower your standards to meet what will “just do”

Don’t disregard your boundaries, promises, or desired choices to honour God

Respect God by being graciously patient

Show God your trust in Him (by doing the above)

Have faith that God can, and will, give you what you deserve (and even better above that!)

GOD WANTS TO HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH US. 
OUR WRONGDOING SEPARATES US FROM GOD. 
JESUS CHRIST PROVIDES THE ONLY WAY WE CAN HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. 
TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST WE MUST TURN TO HIM, PLACE OUR FAITH IN HIM, AND LET HIM TAKE CHARGE OF OUR LIVES.

Example Prayer

Dear God, I admit that I have gone my own way and have sinned against You. I realize this sin separates me from You. But I am willing now to stop going my own way and turn to follow You. Please forgive me. I am placing all my trust in what Jesus Christ did for me when He died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. Thank you for raising Jesus back to life again. I invite Jesus to be in charge of my life from now on. Amen.
