I really like how the shot of Sonic looking at the broken glass, which Shadow was looking at right before, shows us how Sonic is the one who will see things from Shadow's perspective throughout the movie.

Sonic will be the one who sees who Shadow really is (can you see all of me?), because he has a similar journey to Shadow, but also because he has empathy and compassion. And this is shown visually with such sensitivity and care ugh!!
