feel like people are kinda setting themselves up for disappointment if they think khiv is going to be this great big character study of alone/depressed/friendless/bondless sora for the entire game, like he isn't going to head out to a disney world a couple hours in and immediately make friends with the characters he meets like always.

concept of roxas so desperately wanting to have a heart and to feel and to understand things and to cry and to laugh and to smile and to get angry and have it all be for real instead of him faking it or the smallest fragments of a growing heart inside him or the faint smudged out memory of emotion only to have all of that when he's reunited with sora be taken away because sora isn't allowed to show fear or despair or hopelessness and he can't cry and he can only smile which is just about as horrible as being a nobody anyway so why did he ever bother with this kid he doesn't even know and where is axel and his other friend why is axel fading away it's just like her but he doesn't even remember her and then sora is running away and roxas is just so angry inside of him and sora ends up destroying him so it really was all for nothing

i wonder if sora ever gets lonely now that his heart isn’t holding so many people close. do you think he feels roxas’ absence like a phantom limb? do foods taste different now? do they taste like grief and being left alone?
