Those claws were going to be his ticket to putting the time ghost down, and he knew it, his core practically buzzing any time they snagged fabric.

Shifting into a defensive stance, Dan ducked swings he could and once or twice disappeared into mist when he couldn’t. Clockwork was getting vicious this time, or maybe less complacent, but he was nothing if not persistent all the same. Every step back to put space between them was met with two forward on his part, eyes locked unflinchingly on the pupilless ones of his opponent.

What he wouldn’t give to watch the vitality leave them.

“You better not get tired before I’m finished with you, old man.” With a harsh grin, he allowed himself to take a hit, merely for the leverage of being able to grab the handle of the scythe - and focusing a close-range Wail on the cloaked ghost on the other end of it.

It was too easy--he knew it was too easy. But there wasn’t time to pull back after the scythe had been plunged into Dan’s body. The point-blank wail assaulted him, the force of it throwing him back to crash into one the walls of the lair. The building let out a surprised chime of distress at the sight, though the bell could barely be heard over the shrieking of Dan on the other side of the room.

The scythe had been left behind, still in Dan’s body. Clockwork groaned, bracing himself against the force of the scream. One arm reached out, and it took almost an impossible amount of concentration for the current situation but he had to finish the job. The scythe was already half way through Dan’s body, just a little further and it’d slice him--and his core, of Clockwork could get it right--neatly in half.
