Adrian tried not to let his horrible case of alpha brain get the best of him but god dammit he wanted what he wanted and right now that was Jamie. He deepened the kiss as he grabbed the younger’s sweater with both strong, calloused hands, ripping it easily in too and tossing it to the ground. His kisses trailed their way down his neck, leaving bigger marks than before. For the best few days, if anyone saw…they would know exactly who Jamie was fucking with. “Get on your knees.” His voice was dark, and so were his eyes as he looked to the beauty before him. “And after you’re done on your knees I’m putting your face in this carpet so I can fuck you properly.”

His reaction elicited a dark chuckle from Adrian, his scent filling the room as his alpha instincts took over. Feeling their lips connect in a passionate kiss was something he’d always thought about acting on but honestly didn’t want to overwhelm Jamie. He just seemed so delicate he never wanted to hurt him. There was always a tenderness in the way Adrian fucked, whether it was the way he pulled Jamie into his lap or gripped his hair and pulled back as he attacked his neck with rough kisses, leaving marks along the way. He wasn’t a selfish man, but at least for the evening Jamie was his territory. His free hand was traveling its way up Jamie’s torso, holding him as his thumb gave gentle pressure to his nipple. “Just tell me if you need me to stop at any point, alright?” He asked with a sweetness in his tone.

“Really.” Adrian’s deep voice purred, their lips only mere inches away from each other. “I know what you want, Jamie. And I want you too.” He said as he looked down to Jamie’s pillow soft lips. “I can smell your lust for me…and I would love to see how you look stretched out on my knot. Probably just as beautiful as you look now. Would you like that, Jamie? Becoming mine for the evening?”

Jamie blinked a few times, trying to double check this wasn’t a dream. However, the words out of Adrian’s mouth were so filthy yet sweet and beautiful that Jamie knew he wasn’t dreaming; his dreams or imagination were never this perfect. He felt himself instinctively leaning towards the alpha, almost out of his control. “Yes, please, Adrian, I-gosh, please,” he begged, already such a needy mess that he didn’t care how desperate he sounded.

Adrian studied the shorter’s features, finding them every bit as beautiful as they were from afar. He loved his mate, of course. Matthew was his whole world. But they were open for a reason—the both of them had needs that may not always be met. Which was fine for the both of them. And who was he to deny such a picturesque view sitting before him. He reached up to Jamie’s cheek, wiping the little bit of red sauce from it and licking it front his thumb. “You two must have had a wonderful time together.” He chuckled softly. “You know…I enjoy having you around, Jamie.” He spoke softly, resting the omegas chin gently between his index finger and thumb before tilting his head up. “And you have such a beautiful smile. One that I would love to see more often than not.”

Adrian most definitely wasn’t immune to that sweet scent coming from the omega, in fact, he liked being able to get a reaction out of him. “Come.” He said as he led Jamie into the living room, patting a seat next to him on the comfy leather couch below. “Jamie…You know, you’re very important to me.” He said and looked over to the shorter man. “The way you interact with Liam…it reminds me of my mate at times. Liam adores you, I hope you know.”

Jamie obeyed like a little puppy, pun unintended, but he didn’t really care. For a brief second, he imagined Adrian saying that word in a very different context, but he shook that thought away quickly as he sat down next to the alpha. The words warmed his heart in a strange way before he simply beamed. “Oh I love him too,” he said genuinely. “He’s my little buddy! Seriously, anytime you need a sitter, I’m here in a heartbeat.” There was an interesting twinge in his chest at being compared to Adrian’s mate, but he couldn’t really describe it.

Adrian always knew when something was going on with his mate. But he was still watching him and Liam interact and couldn’t help but smile in adoration. “Yes!” The pup pouted and nuzzled into Matthew’s chest. “I missed you so so much…daddy got me ice cream and my tummy stopped hurting,” he shrugged, letting out a little yawn in the pause of his words. “Daddy missed you too, papa.” He hummed as he rested against Matthew. “He sure did…” Adrian chuckled softly and walked closer to the pair. “Sweetheart, why don’t you tell your papa good night, hm? It’s time for you to sleep, love.”Liam nodded and leaned up to kiss Matthew on the cheek. “Goodnigh, daddy. Goodnight, papa. I love you.”he gave Matthew a tight hug before crawling across the bed to his father and giving him a hug as well. Adrian helped him get all tucked in and kissed his forehead. “Goodnight my little pup.” He mused softly, staring lovingly at his son. Soon enough he was up again, scooping up his husband bridal style. “Shall we adjourn to the bedroom and watch NCIS reruns, my love?” He asked with a playful smirk.

It was always heartwarming to see how Liam resembled Adrian in much of his mannerisms; they even pulled the same pouting face and tend to get all cuddly around him. Matthew smiled softly, one arm supporting their pup against his chest as he carded his fingers through Liam’s curls. “Papa missed you too, very very much and is terribly sorry for not being around when your tummy was hurting.” He pressed a light kiss against Liam’s little nose when the little one let out a yawn and then chuckled softly at his words right after. “Ah..I totally believe that.” He murmured, his gaze soft when meeting Adrian’s. The Omega hummed at the kiss to his cheek and managed to say his good night as well, stepping back slightly when Adrian tucked Liam in. He was a little too caught up staring at both of them with adoration that when his Alpha moved to scoop him up, a little surprised gasp left his lips. He can’t help but loop his arms around the other’s neck loosely as he was being caried away, holding back his giggle because he was definitely a little too old to be giggling like a lovesick schoolboy anymore. “I have no objection of us adjourning to the bedroom beloved, but I’m not sure if we should be watching NCIS reruns.” Matthew purred teasingly in return.

“That is…adorable.” Adrian chuckle softly at the thought of the conversation. Of the few things that could put a rare smile on his face, his son was definitely one of them. He could sense the bit of pity in Jamie’s smile. “Lots of paperwork. I love serving my community but god there is so much bureaucracy behind all of it. Just form after form.” He sighed softly. “I’m watching a bit of TV to wind down if you’d like to join me. I prefer it if you would.” He tried not to use his alpha voice unless it was truly necessary, but he couldn’t help it went it slipped out a bit. “Won’t you?”

Jamie beamed at the little smile he was able to get out of the alpha, even though he knew Liam did all the work. “I’m sorry,” he said sympathetically. “That sounds awful. I hate paperwork.” Then, the words I’d prefer it if you would sent a chill down Jamie’s spine, the slight “alpha voice” immediately making Jamie’s scent a bit stronger. He knew he would be seeing Adrian today, so he used his special body wash, but it only worked to a certain extent. “S-Sure,” he said with a small nervous smile, cautiously excited for what the night might lead to.

Adrian wasn’t too fond on…most people. But seeing Jamie with his son warmed his heart. There was no one outside of Adrian and Matthew that Liam adored more. He’d gotten home not long ago, but he’d been there long enough to see Liam fall asleep in his arms and it was utterly adorable. He made his way to the end of the hall, watching his babysitter finishing up as he leaned against the wall with arms crossed. “I hope he was good for you this evening.” The alpha offered a tired smile.

“Tae. Understood.” He nodded as he gently pat his pup’s back to relax him. “Only a week ago? Hm…do you have a pack yet? Or are you by yourself? He asked with a quirked brow. It was his job to make sure the omegas were taken care of and making sure everyone was protected was the highest priority.

“I’m really starting to believe it just might be a cure-all. And I find advice from old crabby men tends to work 10 times better then any medical advice I’ve ever received.” He joked with a soft chuckle. “I can’t wait until my son is old enough to start really taking advice from his old man. I’ll be even more grey than I am now. And he’ll be so eager to learn. Think maybe he’ll want to be on the force like me?”

“It just might be, at least for children.” Jackson quipped, a deep chuckle escaping his lips. “What about medical advice from a crabby old man? Not that I’m old, I haven’t even gotten my first wrinkle yet.” Genetics had been very kind to him over the years, he only hoped they would continue to be. “He might be, so long as you don’t push itOo much, because the second you do he’ll rebel and do the opposite.” 

FUCK. fuck. fuck. f u c k. you are probably wondering why the series of swear words screamed in his head. why he was staring at the sky in defeat, cursing gods. why papers scattered around him. because his fucking briefcase decided to be a little bitch ( just like him ) and unlatch itself :: causing all of his notes and case files to fly out as if these were some dumbass end scene to a movie. “fuuuuuuck!” he screamed into the air before quickly trying to capture the papers like some fucking golden snitch. 150 points to slytherin, he supposed. one. last. paper. he turned all around him, like a dog chasing his tail. where the– that’s when he noticed the foot. “move.” he gestured; rudely.

“He started feeling better as soon as I said we could get ice cream.” He shrugged. “Literally, his fever broke and he started being all sweet and happy again. But thank you, you know I appreciate that. You could come by anyways though. He adores you.” He gave a bit of a chuckle, thinking about how happy Liam would be to see Jackson. “Ha. Very funny. But soon enough youll be just like me. Just don’t stop improving yourself or your old bones’ll start hurting even more. That’s why you can almost always find me at the gym if not at the station.”

“I should really start trying that one with my patients, it would make my life a lot easier if ice cream was the answer to all ailments.”  Jackson pondered jokingly, letting down his stoic walls around his old friend. “I’ll drop by sometime this week then, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen the little guy.”  He promised. “Are you really giving health advice to me of all people?”

Even though it wasn’t all there, Theo seemed to show tenacity and the grit of an alpha—even if he did have that soothing scent only omegas could carry. That was one of the reasons why Adrian hired him in the first place. He had a feeling Theo was a lot to look forward to, a lot in his future to be proud of. “I’m glad you’re not letting them drag you down and get in the way of your work.” He gave Theo’s should a friendly pat, gripping it firmly. “I like that about you, Sun. You push through. You’re resilient. Keep it up. That’s a kind of thing that gets you better cases rather than traffic stops.” He was trying to tell a joke but his dry humor was hard to read.

Theo took a seat on one of the weightlifting benches, stretching out the muscles in his arms as the other spoke. “If I let them get in the way of my work, I’d never get anything done. I find the best way to deal with it is just to prove people wrong.” He explained. “I’m not on parking ticket duty, and that’s all that really matters.” 

“Oh, I’m fine. Just need a bit of sleep.” He shrugged and held his son little closer. “Julian, yes? I think I remember seeing you at a meeting or two. I like get try and get to know the pack as much as I can. Although I’m usually quite busy. Have lunch with me tomorrow. I’d like to know a bit more about you. Concerns, questions, any of that kind of thing.”

they hummed a bit, nodding their head as he spoke. “oh, yeah, you can call me jules though,” they stuck their hands in their pockets, “i’d love to go to lunch with you,” they smiled, even if they didn’t really even have questions or concerns, they still wouldn’t mind getting to know the man more. “what time where you thinking?” they took out their phone, going to make sure they didn’t have anything going on for the time he said.

Liam was always happy to see Ciaran, that was obvious by the way he reaching out with grabby hand for a hug. Seeing Liam so happy put a subtle smile on Adrian’s lips. Family was incredibly important to him, and the pack was just that–his family. Especially the people he worked so close with. He took a step closer to let Liam give Ciaran a hug. “I know, yeah. He’s just been a handful today. He wasn’t feeling too well this morning but he’s all better now…and clean. Today was quite a whirlwind.” He sighed, Liam resting against his father’s shoulder. “I trust your day has been better?”
