      “Max! You know how I promised to finish arranging that song for us? Well...it’s finished! Took me all night, but it was totally worth it!” Topher exclaimed, holding out a neatly bound stack of sheet music for his friend to flip through. Creativity wasn’t a strong suit of Topher’s, he was more technically skilled than anything, and his knack for memorization made music theory easy to work with. He’d never be able to write original songs for the band - not decent one’s anyway - but he was pretty good at working with pre-existing material as long as he didn’t have to deviate too far from the original source. 

zora was doing everything she could to try and get her mind off of last night, but it seemed pretty much impossible. everywhere she turned, someone was talking about it - both online and in real life. whispers overheard at wordsworth, insta stories of the shed, the hellcat - it was like wildfire. “ trust me. if i was planning something like that, you would’ve number one on my list. ” which was true. if this was premeditated, she and max probably would’ve dressed all in black, snuck over to lambda full on heist mode. unfortunately, no part of this was planned, and that’s what scared zora the most. “ but i mean, who cares, right? it’s just a shed. ” if she weren’t involved, she probably would’ve been enjoying this just as much as max. LIVING for it. but anyone who knew zora well enough would know that and know that her mild reaction was just a little out of character.

Jack’s fingers drummed idly on the nearest available surface, absently trying to work out the tricky 7/4 time signature that had been plaguing him for weeks. “Y’know, I accidentally started a dumpster fire once when I was 14,” he mused aloud, the fire at Lamba House being all anyone could talk about on campus today. “My mom ended up dating one of the firemen for two years, so she really couldn’t even be mad at me.
