“Oh, so you’re not just social with me. That’s good to know. I suppose it’s a bit difficult to keep up with the entire family. And I don’t think a family dinner is possible. The family as a whole is too large and even if we could all gather together, I do feel as though some sort of trouble would come about. Don’t you agree?”

“I’m social with everyone. I’m speaking of a family dinner between you and Elijah and Tatia and I. I love my siblings and all my nieces and nephews but I’m not looking to begin another civil war. Even I’m not so optimistic to believe that we could achieve wholly peaceful accords over an entire family dinner.”

“Yeah, you assume correctly.” Caroline replied, a small smile on her lips. “How’s your little section of the family? I haven’t seen them much lately.”

“We’re as beautiful and marvelous as ever.” It would be an understatement to call Henrik a doting parents. He bragged at every opportunity about his kids and his amazing wife as well.

“And what exactly do you define as a night on the town, brother?”

“Copious amounts of alcohol and possibly some karaoke if there’s enough.”

“No, it equates to sucess.” She said with a smile and a shrug. “How are you, Henrik?”

“As marvelous as always,” he assured with a fanciful gesture. “What about you? Neat as ever so you’re doing well, I assume.”

“To be fair, the same could be said about you, little witch. I cannot remember the last time you stepped foot into my home. And that’s quite a shame because your brother and I do miss your company. I have no objections to raiding your alcohol cabinet and sparing mine.”

“I have come to visit my brother every now and then but I suppose I have been lacking in familial bonding time as of late. Hm, the solution would be a family dinner wouldn’t it? Mine is well stocked and in need of some attention.”

“Always so bright and filled with joy. A trust inspiration you are, Henrik. Let us not waste another moment and enjoy a nice drink. Shall we raid your alcohol cabinet, my alcohol cabinet or resort to Rosseau’s?”

“Oh, I do try. Let us head to mine. Much closer and I do love enjoying a drink in my own home. Plus, you do not come over often enough, wolf queen.“

“I shouldn’t because I really need to get this done. But I guess you’re right, it would be rude of me to let you have drinks alone.”

“Now you’re coming aboard. Don’t worry. I will only let you have one and then it’s back on track to that dull assignment.”

“So long as you put it back where you found it, I don’t care how dull you think I am, Henrik.”

“I was only kidding. Caroline. Commanding tidiness doesn’t equate to boring.”

“I just finished organizing that. Meaning, keep your little hands away from it.”

“You resemble my sister too much to be this dull. I will put everything back in its proper place.”

“I’m in the middle of an important college essay. What do you want?”

“Can’t you take a break? You look like you could use a drink and it would be sad if I had to enjoy this alone.”

“Not a mind reader, but rather just aware of our family’s love of drinking and resorting to alcohol when problems arise. First round on you, second round of me.” 

“Everyone is keenly aware of the Mikaelson’s aptitude for drinking. Ah, you are speaking my language, dear sister. Let us go and be merry!”

“Perhaps instead of getting physical, we could just do the other Mikaelson hobby and grab a drink?”

“Ah, are you reading my mind now? First round is on me,” he exclaimed with contained joy.

Magic is what you make it; it can be dangerous and deadly or it can be mystical and beautiful.
