Given the way Jupiter latched onto his arm, it answered his question reaffirming he should stay close to her. She couldn't even speak japanese after all, on top of not knowing how to get home. Must be pretty scary for a child that couldn't properly communicate. Hopefully he can take her home, disappointing her would make him feel ashamed.
Kamui peers over at her notebook curiously when she wrote something down again. It made a fond smile form on his lips, ''Fine with me, feel free to hold onto my arm, or my hand. Whichever you prefer.''
Even if they haven't been around each other long, Kamui already decided he wouldn't mind snapping a neck or two for her sake. He went ahead and took Jupiter with him to order food. He can be rather impatient when it came to waiting for food, but the line went by fairly quickly. A relief. ''Oh, miss Jupiter I forgot to ask you to write down what you wanted. Don't worry about bothering anyone.'' He'd say as he gave the person taking their order a really threatening looking smile to make sure they didn't rush her before dropping that demeanor when looking back at the young girl. ''You can eat anything you like. ~!'' Meanwhile, he made that poor employee extremely nervous. As if being a fast food worker wasn't torturous enough.
Once everything was ordered and served, he carried the food to the table by the window that had thankfully still been empty. Kamui placed down her stuff first, then his own. He ordered at least thirty burgers and fries, and naturally it earned him looks but he never cared.
''How nice of that guy to be so patient with us, huh?'' He says with some amusement, as he started eating a bunch of his burgers first cheerfully.
Holding onto Kamui’s arm for moral and emotional support, she looks up at the big screen, unable to read anything, so she wasn’t totally sure what she was looking at, as some of the menu items looked… different from what she was accustomed to? It was honestly a bit intimidating, trying to find something she wanted when most of it wasn’t something she could understand. (There did seem to be a small sprinkle of English here and there?) Maybe the unfamiliar items were like special items exclusive to the Country she found herself in? It was probably safer for her to not choose the mystery options.
After a bit of careful deliberation, she settled a simple burger set meal- something that looked familiar. Surely it wouldn’t be too different from what she could get in her own home Country?
She holds up a number of fingers on her hand and points to the overhead screen, hoping he’d understand that she wanted the number 3 set meal. She didn’t eat all that much, so she would be plenty satisfied with a small set meal. Anything more than that may knock her out from a food coma.
Jupiter was honestly shocked beyond belief to see how many burgers and fries Kamui ordered for himself. Was that… possible for the human stomach to consume? Isn’t this what Father Selma would speak about, the sin of Gluttony? Though… the depictions of that sin… didn’t quite fit Kamui. He was the image of peak health.
She nods her head happily and scribbles in her notebook.
[Thank you! I’ll enjoy the food!]
With a quick prayer, she starts eating her food with delight. It’s been so long since she’s had a burger~ The kitchen only provided healthy and simple dishes at the church, so junk food was a true treat!
[It’s really yummy!]
