Once, my family had a simple life.

My mother baked bread every morning, and my father came home tired but smiling.

Today, we have no home. No food. No water. No work.

And above all, no safety.

One day, we waited hours in line, hoping to get milk for my baby sister.

But when the truck arrived… it was empty.

I’ll never forget the look in my mother’s eyes as she held my sister close, trying to calm her cries.

She whispered, “Will my tears feed her?”

Our neighbor Abu Khaled died beneath the rubble.

His son, Yahya, still wanders the streets asking,

“Will my father come home today?”
