The configuring of an EQ plugin to function like a mixing console EQ section
Hi! Matheus here and this is my assignment #5 for the course Introduction to Music Production.
For this assignment I chose to demonstrate the configuring of an EQ plugin to function like a large format mixing console EQ section.
I'm going to use Reaper as my DAW and the ReaEQ plugin.
Assignment 4 - An effective use of a gate in a musical context.
The song used for the video I created for the 3rd assignment for the course Introduction to Music Production.
Take a look at the original post containing the video.
Assignment 3 - Inserting parallel effects on Reaper
This is my 3rd assignment for the course Introduction to Music Production on the following subject:
Parallel effects practical: Demonstrate the configuration of parallel effects in a DAW or physical mixing board.Â

This is my assignment #2 for the course Introduction to Music Production I'm taking from Berklee on Coursera.org, by Loudon Stearns.
English is not my native language, so I made a transcription for the video. If you find my english too bad or hard to understand, turn on closed caption. And apologize in advance for any mistake in the language. :)
How to keep Virtual MIDI Keyboard active on Reaper
For those who don't own a MIDI keyboard controller and need to work with MIDI tracks, DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) usually offer a virtual keyboard for this purpose.
TIP: Learn the keyboard shortcuts for your DAW
This tip is not just for the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) but for any software you frequently use. Learning the keyboard shortcuts for the functions you use most is going to save you a lot of time.
Mistakes arenât all bad. Donât be afraid to make them - just donât ignore them!
Practice doesnât make perfect, practice makes permanent.

TIP: How not to get lost over chord changes while improvising over a new tune.
Insert marks in your DAW for every part or section of the song. In this example, the song is in AABA form.
The way I think about scales and modes
There's a lot of ways you can think about scales and modes to visualize them. I'm going to show one way I like to view modes.
In this article I use Roman numbers to represent the scale degrees. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, click here first.
HOW TO: Recording electric guitar without an amplifier
Hi, Iâm Matheus and this post is my first assignment to the course âIntroduction to Music Productionâ by Berklee at Coursera.org.
Iâm going to talk about how to record an electric guitar without an amplifier.
Welcome!
This is my first post on my new blog. :)
English is not my native language, so I apologize in advance for any mistake.
I intend to use this blog to post the assigments of the course Introduction to Music Production that I'm taking on Coursera.org. Eventually, I may post stuff created for the Jazz Improvisation course (another one I'm taking on Coursera) or other stuff I may have been studing in these topics.
In other words, this is a blog about music production and related stuff.
