⚜️ Commercial ⚜️
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TthHNfCIqs0
Commercial done! First ever time attempting something like this, I used Final Cut Pro and made it over the span of a day, both learning the program and attempting something that could portray what I wanted. I don't have a photo copy of the storyboard for it, but it is included in the back of my sketchbook, but it isn’t very accurate to what was made. I had to wing it, trying to work around copyright and overall not quite knowing what I was doing stopped it from really following the storyboard’s initial design x,)
⚜️ Finalised Design Board ⚜️
The finished product! It had some ups and downs, I want to put more effort into actually producing dresses I love next time- don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely happy with the results for my first ever collection but for the next unit I’m definitely going to take my time to improve the designs to the best of my ability.
⚜️ Design board concepts 3x ⚜️
I’ll admit, I messed up on these. I worked on my design boards towards the end of the day while rushing to not keep my ride waiting, and completely forgot to take pictures of the 3x other ideas before glueing down the final decided design. :,)
Tried throwing some together with the media designs to save it ahaha please end me
⚜️ Final Moodboard ⚜️
Finalised moodboard! Shamefully fuzzy through here, but there will be an A3 copy printed into my portfolio. I wanted something that portrayed the change from the cliche pastel Hollywood 50′s dream into the dark, pretty Art Deco theme- and I feel this achieved it quite well? It isn’t a strict glaring change imo which helps, but maybe I'm blind.
Overall, I’d like the believe it shows the vibe and theme well enough without words. :D

⚜️ Press Release ⚜️
My press release! A messy description I wrote that Amy salvaged. :D
Not sure why writing these things can be so difficult, it seems to just drag and turn my brain to mush- but its better when it’s out of the way! Just for the peace of mind for one less thing to worry about x,)
Alternate 3 layouts beneath the cut !
⚜️ 4/4 design development ⚜️
In order > moodboard, initial designs, developed designs, media experimentation
These were a little better, some of my favourite designs overall, but I may be biased due to the bioshock inspiration :D I was really rushing with these, couldn’t line the initial designs either. May or may not of ended today in tears, but hey! Positive things ahead, time management is something I desperately need to master.
⚜️ 3/4 design development ⚜️
In order > moodboard > initial designs > developed & initial design > media experimentation
Please ignore this one, the media experimentation is atrocious how do people use pastels 🥲
The initial designs were lacklustre too, I’m disappointed in myself for these, I’ll admit.
⚜️ 2/4 design development ⚜️
In order > moodboard, initial designs, developed designs, media experimentation
The media experimentation with ink was incredibly rushed and came out horrible, it’s a mistake I won’t be making again- but a learning experience none the less.
⚜️ 1/4 design development ⚜️
In order > Moodboard, Initial designs, Improved/developed designs, media experimentation
My designs! It was a ride, i have some regrets but overall do like how the first set came out. I wish I followed Amy’s advice and turned the middle of the initial designs into a finished look, but I just didn’t have time by the end.

⚜️ 1/4 design development ⚜️
Finished garment! I should of ironed it, but it was a struggle with the irons being knackered. It was difficult, a lot of tears and frustration with keeping up- but thankfully Kay and Nicole were really supportive. I can’t wait to try create some of my own designs some day, and god has this become my favourite out of the classes. :D
⚜️ Business card mockup ⚜️
Our last project with Paul for this unit was pretty much this, using a template of a mockup we attempted to create our own business cards. I like the end result, and while it could of been prettier I still think its decent for a first attempt! Maybe the colours weren’t the most professional, but it gives character, no? :D
⚜️ Final Logo development ⚜️
Some colour experimentation! using Adobe illustrator, Paul walked us through crafting our logos and experimenting. As frustrating as the program is, Ir really enjoyed using the program and learning how best to use it. I’m stubborn, and anxious, so I don't like asking for help when I'm not comfortable with the person involved- so I pretty much did what I always do for art programs, and tried winging it. I ended up getting advice from Paul because christ on a bike Adobe doesn't half make their programs confusing, but overall I'd still count it as a win.
going with the following for my final logo, including a black & white and a coloured version;
Green for a zombie bear :)
⚜️ Logo development ⚜️
Logo development! I didn't want to use something such as Word or PowerPoint to create logos so I ended up going to Procreate to have more freedom. It was a fun task, and it was cool to get some ideas down in a way I had the flexibility to alter and warp them. My favourite are the Mushroom and full bear head! deciding between them is a difficult one, but I ended up deciding on the teddy bear due to my close friends calling me Teddy- It made the most sense.
⚜️ Quick fire initials ⚜️
Tasked to begin on logo development, we built up 6 quick fire logo designs using our initials; mine being N.S. I wanted something unique, because the whole minimalistic fancy overlapping initial designs are so boring imo. I wasn't too happy with how these came out, but this was just a quick fire practice :>

⚜️ Logo Research ⚜️
Pretty self-explanatory, we researched and explained our thoughts and opinions towards a verity of logos!
⚜️ Customer Profile (Updated) ⚜️
As a renowned artist and painter, Judith May is a social anomaly in her mid twenties, born in Germany and currently residing in France, married at a young age to rising Parisian actress Marnie Faye. Rising in fame herself, Judith’s work known to all yet her name still able to fall under the social radar, her paintings haunting reflections and warped visages mixing both past and present in strange yet gorgeous works, setting her on the path to becoming the modern icon for surrealism.
Her lifestyle is quite humble, locked away at home painting and blogging; though due to her wife, social events have become a daily part of it. She likes to shop weekly for necessities for a dose of fresh air and city life. Her style, despite her reclusive nature is eccentric; Judith likes to stand out in unique ways through fashion, with flexibility for the event, style and place- much like her art, Haute Couture has a special place in her heart due to the wacky, strange silhouettes brought into reality by skilled dressmakers; this being said, she prefers to wear ready-to-wear to both stand out yet stay humble in comparison.
