Ghost was set to emotionally spit something back at the Luparian, before his white-haired ally and the redheaded Saiyan do-gooder entered his ring of hellfire. The intrusion, itself, was enough to make the Scorched Saiyan drop his guard, and momentarily drop the conversation with Tazz, until she finally managed to separate him from her; the Wolfish Woman's kick being met with little resistance, as her opposition was sent backwards for a considerable few feet. All the while, his gaze would snap in her direction once again, as he seemed to attempt to recall what she'd just said, prior to their respective allies interrupting things.
And just when he had... He seemed to laugh, as if what Tazz had responded with amused him, or had driven him to a point of further discontent and frustration with her. "Of course it's bigger than you! The problems in it are bigger than you, too! So here you stand, in the way of someone whose problem isn't yours to insert yourself into! An unjust set of circumstances and culture that sentences me to death, but others of my race get to thrive peacefully? WERE YOU EVER LISTENING TO ME BEFORE?!" A crack in Ghost's voice was subtle, but the way he raised it, and only took off towards Tazz thereafter was indicative that their conversation hurt him, and that even if they opposed each other, he desperately wanted her to back down.
In an instant, the Scorched Saiyan sought to close the gap between him and the Luparian, with his previous intent of minimizing his flames lessening in importance, as he lit himself ablaze and swung a flying roundhouse kick towards the head of his opponent, only to extinguish his hellfire quickly thereafter; aiming to use it as a temporary boost of his strength and speed, without burning himself up prematurely!
She had to fight not to wince at his accusing words, ears pinning back once more. And the way his voice cracked.. It made her heart squeeze painfully in her chest. "Of course I was listening! But it doesn't give you the right to take the lives of people that weren't involved! They did nothing to contribute to your pain!" She hated this. She hated having to fight him while knowing his past when she could sympathize, but she just couldn't do nothing while others' lives were at risk! As he wished she would back down, she wished he would.
As he was rushing toward her, she followed suit and lunged forward as she concentrated her ki around her hands into large claws. Part of her was frustrated that he kept his limitations in mind, but she pushed it aside so she could focus on the fight. She lifted both arms to try to block the kick, but the force of it still jarred her. Her sight became unfocused for a few moments before she grabbed his leg with her ki claws and lifted him, aiming to turn and slam him to the ground.
"EVERY BREATH THEY TAKE!!! EVERY SINGLE MOMENT THAT THEY GET TO HAVE A LIFE I NEVER COULD!!! ALL OF IT HURTS!!! ALL OF IT IS COLD!!!" Even in the brief moment of approach, Ghost's words came instantaneously, while the crack in his deep, raspy voice became more frequent, and his raw emotions caused his nonchalant demeanor to crumble away. Still... He was speaking, and that had to matter or be a sign of something... Right? The cold he mentioned... It wasn't merely physical anymore...
Not even the slight success of his roundhouse's connection with the Luparian brought him any positive reprieve from his deeply emotional outbursts, as even without utilizing his hellfire as recklessly as he'd done during their first encounter, the adrenaline flowing through his body made him even hotter. However, the Scorched Saiyan was still reckless enough to fail to avoid Tazz's countermeasure, as her Ki claws wrapped around his leg, and slammed him callously into the pavement beneath them. With his palms facing towards his opposition after he was slammed into the ground, Ghost would act quickly and unleash enough of his blue flames to propel himself away from her, if only to pull away from her Ki claws, in the event that she hadn't let go of his leg; spinning himself mid-air and turning towards her again thereafter.
For a moment... A chilling, quieter moment, Ghost smiled and almost laughed again, before that positive look on his face soured just as quickly as it came. He took steps towards the Wolfish Woman, even if she might back away. "Fine... I'll admit that the worst part of me wanted to kill your friend when I got my hands on her. To take my anger out on the first Saiyan I'd ever met that fit what I wanted to so badly find, and turn into ashes." While the importance of what he said was subjective to their ongoing conversation, it seemed that his slow approach was a part of the point he was trying to make... Even as he threw a left-right punch combination towards the head of the Luparian.
"At what point did I say that I wanted to take their lives? Whether I do or not doesn't matter to you, does it?! At this point, why should I tell you how I feel, or how far I'll go for what my goal is?! WOULDN'T IT JUST BE THE SAME TO YOU, EITHER WAY?!"
A brief, albeit noticeable shiver in Ghost's breath would be the result of Tazz's last few words to him, as the admittance of his ideals being greater than Pholomena's and Castor's was undoubtedly cathartic to him; a slightly widened gaze breaching the frustrated demeanor that Tazz caused him to have just moments before. Still, it didn't completely remedy his plight, as the two were still grappled with each other, and forced to look at each other directly. "Even if I stood alone, I doubt that your kind, bleeding heart would keep you from getting in my way! Who are you to oppose me, when my goals and purpose have nothing to do with you?!"
The Scorched Saiyan's digits against the Luparian's shoulders would begin to dig in ever so slightly, unless she forced a separation between the two, as the rise in Ghost's own fiery discontent caused him to involuntarily produce more hellfire; the self-destructive blue flames slowly burning him further, though to a lesser degree than before. No wetness could be seen in his eyes, his presumptive counter-statement and opposition of Tazz sounded more personal to him than ever. Before further thought could be given to that, however, Castor would be sent flying through the ring of hellfire, and come to a stop mere yards from the Wolfish Woman and the Scorched Saiyan; Yujin quickly catching up with his given opponent, with only one visible and functioning arm before he activated his Timestamp and restoring himself to full power, and then some. For the briefest of moments, an insight into Tazz's companions' battles would just there, in plain view.
"I don't care how many times I have to turn you to dust! I'll make sure that you can't regenerate, the moment you let your guard down!" The proclaimed Cure's hand had just begun to descend to touch the ground beneath everyone's feet, before the Prodigal Son quickly threw a devastating uppercut that launched Castor away and into the air; giving Tazz and Ghost their privacy within his ring of fire, just as quickly as it had been disrupted!
In that brief moment, however, Ghost's grip, if the two were still grappling with one another, had tightened, softened, and even loosened while his gaze didn't meet Tazz's own, or even Castor's. His heat temporarily cooled, even if it was for the smallest moment, as if his guard was down... For one reason or another.

This universe is bigger than myself!"

She didn't want the fight to resume, but it was just a matter of time and she didn't want to give him the chance to really burn her. Her lips pulled thin before she knocked his hands off her shoulders and lifted her leg, aiming to plant a kick in the center of his mass to push him away and get some distance again.

Even with the grazing of his knee against the Luparian, the entertainment he seemed to have from it all hadn't returned, as a sort of subtly disgusted expression stuck to his features. The sound of harsh connection between two bodies, or at least parts of them, would accompany the landing of Tazz's own knee to the chin of the Scorched Saiyan; sending him staggering back a few feet, and causing him to shake his head. While he was physically numb to most feelings, it seemed as though being rocked by enough force still disoriented him!
As quickly as the Wolfish Woman acted, Ghost was still attempting to rectify his dazed status, and seemed almost unaware of the initial rush towards him from the side; leaving him entirely open to whatever Tazz had in mind! That was, until... Her words seemed to straighten his posture, and caused him to turn to face her directly, as he used the sound of her voice to find her, and his physical state was practically unfazed once more. A scoff and a groan would precede the Saiyan's next outburst, as he began to mutually rush towards Tazz in return; taking his hands out of his pockets and, at most, reaching to grasp at her muscular shoulders, as if to lock up with her, and force them to stay in close range. With that admission of feeling some sort of emotion, Ghost darted towards the Luparian again, to resume the physical part of their confrontation; throwing his foot forward to attempt a snap front kick towards her stomach or chest, while oddly placed his hands in the pockets of his pants. Whether it was laziness or a self-reminder to not produce more hellfire was indiscernible, but time to think on the reasoning behind it would be scarce, as the attempted front kick, whether it landed or not, would be followed up by the opposite leg's knee being thrown up to attempt a knee lift to the jawline of the Wolfish Woman. Just as before, Ghost's strength was increasing as his surroundings became hotter, and the fluidity of his movements became more remarkable.
Whatever could and would be said between the two, for the time being, was theirs and theirs alone to share.

But that was the problem of it all: only he could control his blue flames, and any way he fought or made contact would burn his oppositions severely; Tazz's blocking of his attacks only serving as proof of how difficult it was to face the Saiyan without exhausting oneself with continuous evasive measures. The Luparian's visible difficulty in remaining steadfast and upright drew a slight chortle of amusement out of the Scorched Saiyan, though it wasn't as wholehearted as it had been during any previous instance that he made such a sound.
Just as quickly as Ghost had landed his offense, however, Tazz's attempted use of her leg to slam him against the ground would prove to be successful, as it caused a loud and sickening thud to be produced from the collision of his body and the ground beneath them. Acting on pure instinct and awareness afterwards, however, Ghost would push himself off of the ground and roll himself just a few feet away from the Wolfish Woman, as the wound on his head caused more crimson fluid to trickle down his face. For a moment, however, that smile disappeared, before he chuckled again... That very same, nonchalant and almost careless emission of his entertainment.
"If you do have the guts to kill me, at least have the decency to open up a little, huh?!" Almost shouting his request to her, the words that came after them would, strangely enough, be quieter. "Or are you afraid that what you'll feel and say now, after that night, will make it harder to paint me as nothing more than the monster you met before?"
"Ah... WHO THE HELL AM I KIDDING?!"
In one swift motion, Ghost would create a ring of hellfire around them, that almost cut them off from their respective allies, and allowed the deafening crackle of it all to possibly make their own exchange of words inaudible to their companions. Either that, or he had just created a means of making himself hotter and stronger than before! If she wanted to speak, he hadn't showed any signs of making another move just yet!
If not for that hellfire of his, Tazz would be much more confident in the outcome of this battle. But it was because of that blue flame that she wasn't so certain, but she would do her utmost regardless, even if it cost her life. That was just the price she was willing to pay for the sake of peace for the Earth and all the universe to stop Ghost, even with the private conversation they shared. Perhaps.. it was because of that exact conversation that she was acting so stoic.
As soon as her attack landed and he was slammed to the ground, she just watched as he rolled away from her. She had a similar thought to put distance between them once more, if just to delay contact with those flames once more. Where her skin had been burned now only had a dull throb, some nerves in her palms being damaged to the point of numbness. She managed to keep from flinching at his shout for her to open up, but there was no hiding how her eye began to glisten with emotion while the rest of her face remained stern.
".... I never once thought you were a monster. There's almost always certain circumstances that bring people like you around and I try to understand them." Really, though.. She was afraid that opening up in a moment like this would let her emotions get the best of her and bring her downfall. She couldn't risk it in such a dire fight as this. She kept her gaze locked on him as the fire surrounded them. She could feel the heat of it even with this distance from the flame itself.

The Scorched Saiyan's own head was in no better state than Tazz's own, as his own blood trickled from a similar wound in his forehead, though he wasn't as shaken as his opposition; the meters separating them only allowing either of them a moment to prepare themselves for the other's inevitable approach. With the Luparian trying to steady herself, Ghost was afforded the opportunity to follow up on his previous offense; covering his fists in his own hellfire, even as he was aware of how it would cause his body to burn just as badly as it did during their last encounter. With time... His own powers scorched him further, and her own power didn't make it manageable in the slightest.
"You know, I guess there was something I forgot to say, before! You better be willing to kill someone, to fight for what you believe in, too!" Aiming to close the gap between himself and the Wolfish Woman, Ghost rocketed towards her, only to be cut off by his allies' bodies darting between himself and his target; their own foes following close behind them, as Tazz's companions, for that moment, had a shared upper hand. No matter... The momentary delay in Ghost's own approach wouldn't keep him from his previous endeavor, as he once more rapidly dashed towards Tazz!
A destructive combination of hellflame-laced punches would be sent towards the Luparian's face and abdomen, as the heat of Ghost's own fire grew hotter and hotter by the second. Was Tazz willing to end someone else's life? Was she capable of setting aside her understanding of Ghost's origin, to put an end to him, if it was necessary?!
Her ears were ringing after that hit as she was briefly disoriented. Reaching up, she touched her forehead only to pull her hand away and find the blood, then looking down to see some drops having splattered on the ground below. She then closed her eye and took a deep breath to gather herself, not letting this be enough to shake her after how much worse it had been in their first battle. Her eye narrowed at him at his words, ears pinning back once more. Before she could say anything in response, Ghost was already launching at her and her body was moving forward in turn on reflex.
But before they could clash again, she had to halt as the others suddenly cut across their path, her gaze following for only a split second before snapping back to the burned Saiyan. She did not want to end his life, but she would if she had to for the sake of everyone that was at risk from his goals. While she managed to block the blows towards her face with her palm, it would burn the skin and that momentary wince had her missing the block on a punch to her abdomen. Ghost's fighting style was simple enough, when he was stripped of his ability to produce hellfire... But that was the problem of it all: only he could control his blue flames, and any way he fought or made contact would burn his oppositions severely; Tazz's blocking of his attacks only serving as proof of how difficult it was to face the Saiyan without exhausting oneself with continuous evasive measures. The Luparian's visible difficulty in remaining steadfast and upright drew a slight chortle of amusement out of the Scorched Saiyan, though it wasn't as wholehearted as it had been during any previous instance that he made such a sound.
Just as quickly as Ghost had landed his offense, however, Tazz's attempted use of her leg to slam him against the ground would prove to be successful, as it caused a loud and sickening thud to be produced from the collision of his body and the ground beneath them. Acting on pure instinct and awareness afterwards, however, Ghost would push himself off of the ground and roll himself just a few feet away from the Wolfish Woman, as the wound on his head caused more crimson fluid to trickle down his face. For a moment, however, that smile disappeared, before he chuckled again... That very same, nonchalant and almost careless emission of his entertainment.
"If you do have the guts to kill me, at least have the decency to open up a little, huh?!" Almost shouting his request to her, the words that came after them would, strangely enough, be quieter. "Or are you afraid that what you'll feel and say now, after that night, will make it harder to paint me as nothing more than the monster you met before?"
"Ah... WHO THE HELL AM I KIDDING?!"
In one swift motion, Ghost would create a ring of hellfire around them, that almost cut them off from their respective allies, and allowed the deafening crackle of it all to possibly make their own exchange of words inaudible to their companions. It often takes a while for Atieno to be more open with some of the struggles that they have experienced. Some of the feelings that they carry with them that feel very specific to the kind of existence that they have lived over such a long period of time.
And while they can and do recover from so much as the nature of being such a force, they do still find themself legitimately changed and altered in some way by what seems to haunt them from time to time.
And they supposed, given that they have come to trust Svandur so much that he should hear a little bit about it.
"So I don't know if you have felt this way - but there's a deep, deep exhaustion that I have carried with me for a very long time. And it's often difficult for me to manage because I know.. I know for a fact that there's really an endpoint for me. Like even if this version of the universe ends.. I will still manifest on and on.
And .. knowing that's what is in store for me? Well, although I am long used to the idea having been present for such a long time already... it does weigh on me. It's a specific kind of feeling that I can't talk to most about because ...obviously, they can't relate to the lifespan thing, mostly to a certain level exhaustion.
But... it feels different. Very different."
Exhaustion... It was certainly something that he hadn't come to experience personally, as most of his eternal existence had been spent slumbering until he was meant to fulfill his purpose in the grand scheme of everything. Even if this existence were to end, which to Svandur was what he was made for, Atieno's admittance that their manifestation would continue just... Visibly puzzled the End of All.
Unlike them, Svandur was still somewhat in his existential infancy, as his time as a conscious being was miniscule compared to Ati's own. Perhaps this was where they couldn't quite relate, as hard as he tried to understand their perspective.
"Do you... Seek to be more finite? To not be eternal?" It was all he could manage, as anything less than that was closer to being mortal than anything. To have an ending was the nature of other things, was it not? That was the beauty that some found in things that lasted only a brief period of time.

It didn't matter if Ghost shared his motives and his past with this Luparian woman... Clashing ideologies and purposes would always take precedence over any perceived bond or brief trust that could ever exist between enemies! The sounds of intense conflict and blows being traded even fair distances away from Tazz and Ghost otherwise filled the air around the two of them, while the crackling of the Saiyan's hellfire was an auditory reminder that whatever fire could naturally be made in this world... His burned hotter.
Palms thrown forward and a unique dispersal of his flames were both expected by this point, as their first encounter taught the Scorched Saiyan about how well the wolfish woman could adapt during battle, but Ghost was just a moment too late, in removing himself from the very spot he occupied just before his flames burst from his hands. In failing to get out of the way, Tazz's palms would make direct contact with his chest, and rocket him backwards a few yards; a brief few seconds of momentum coming to a sudden stop, as the Saiyan heavily sighed and countered the momentum with a jet of his flames fired behind himself.
"Fuck... I'm cold." Whether or not he was making an out loud excuse for his lack of reactivity to her actions was entirely uncertain, but the offside comment would instantaneously be followed up by a volatile burst of his blue flames being unleashed to send him towards Tazz at incomprehensible speeds, as the Scorched Saiyan aimed to use the momentum to make an attempted headbutt to the Luparian's own cranium even more painful than it already could have been on its own.
Once her hands connected with his chest, she released the ki she had built up in them to both further push him back and return a proper attack. She hadn't quite anticipated that move to work, but she wasn't about to celebrate since the fight was far from over. Watching as he stopped himself from flying any farther, she began to think of different potential moves to try to have a plan to counter or make her charge while keeping her body relaxed once she came to a stop as well.
Her ears pinned back when she caught those few words he gave, but she had expected him to say something like that. Her eye widened for a moment when he then launched towards her, not having enough time to fully dodge. All she was able to do was put up a cushion of ki before their heads collided and she was sent back meters before managing to stop herself. While that little padding of ki was enough to keep the damage as bad as Ghost had intended, it didn't erase it at all. A line of blood began to drip down her forehead as she shook her head to try to steady herself.
The Scorched Saiyan's own head was in no better state than Tazz's own, as his own blood trickled from a similar wound in his forehead, though he wasn't as shaken as his opposition; the meters separating them only allowing either of them a moment to prepare themselves for the other's inevitable approach. With the Luparian trying to steady herself, Ghost was afforded the opportunity to follow up on his previous offense; covering his fists in his own hellfire, even as he was aware of how it would cause his body to burn just as badly as it did during their last encounter. With time... His own powers scorched him further, and her own power didn't make it manageable in the slightest.
"You know, I guess there was something I forgot to say, before! You better be willing to kill someone, to fight for what you believe in, too!" Aiming to close the gap between himself and the Wolfish Woman, Ghost rocketed towards her, only to be cut off by his allies' bodies darting between himself and his target; their own foes following close behind them, as Tazz's companions, for that moment, had a shared upper hand. No matter... The momentary delay in Ghost's own approach wouldn't keep him from his previous endeavor, as he once more rapidly dashed towards Tazz!
A destructive combination of hellflame-laced punches would be sent towards the Luparian's face and abdomen, as the heat of Ghost's own fire grew hotter and hotter by the second. Was Tazz willing to end someone else's life? Was she capable of setting aside her understanding of Ghost's origin, to put an end to him, if it was necessary?!
