I was just watching a video by a modern muslim dating coach about men being the sole providers. Ofcourse it comes from the “women dont have to do anything, not even breastfeed their own child unless the husband pays them” ahadith. With all due respect, what a stupid, delusional, socially inept, and backwards way of thinking. When I say backwards, I mean this is something that can send our community backwards a hundred years. Can you imagine 1 half of the population sitting at home rotting away because “if you don’t let your wife do that you don’t even like her/youre a red flag”?

What could a woman who just sits at home possibly offer. And yes, women should be able to offer something in a relationship. You know, where they have to relate to someone else. What insight could she possibly have? What can she understand if she does nothing.

One thing we hate to talk about is how detached stay at home moms become. we might not have a perfect system of daycare at work, nanny networks, etc, to make the creation of functional nuclear families easier but we should be helping create that instead of women start doing nothing as soon as they have s child.

On top of that she says “if you can’t be a sole provider you shouldn’t get married”

The first image is from the first chapter of the Quran which should be titled “The Conquest”, but it is the feminine version of the word. It is from the perspective of the believers praying to god to be of the chosen who get to conquer Makka. They are praying/requesting before the battle or even to be chosen before the era of the battle.

The second one is from the perspective of the angels or Allah informing the prophet that God has chosen for him to complete his mission of al Fath (the conquest). In this instance the title is chosen by Allah to be in the male version of the word. This could be because God and his creation are a pair, and he is a masculine side of that pair. In the second verse of the surah it is states “so that he may guide the straight path to you.” This verse is an answer to a prayer made in Surat al Fatiha. When you are Allah’s Mukhlasin he places the path before you. In that verse it also states that Allah wants to complete his blessing upon the prophet and those with him.

In the last image we see Allah finally saying, after the completing of (all) time and the end of the conquest "I have completed my blessing upon you and accepted the islam that you exist in”

وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَـٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَـٰحِبَةًۭ وَلَا وَلَدًۭا

And our exalted lord did not take a female companion or a son [from you?]

Could this verse be about how Allah is clarifying his nature to the sacrificial societies of the time. Many people already know that when Allah (swt) wanted to clarify that he has no children is he specifically says “he was not born and did not give birth” لم يلد ولم يولد

The point here is also that Allah swt is not mincing his words and using two words for the same meaning because he is not hear to confuse as he so plainly claims in his Book. The word for “take” (اتخذ) does not mean “have.”
