Meet Pierce Rogan, a ghost who is eternally twenty-eight years old; he’s been trapped in the Murder House since his death in 1960…
♫♪ “Caught in the waves of hesitation, lost in the sea of my own doubt endlessly, for you I’ll always wait, and the city buzz and empty cars, it’s 3 a.m. I wonder where you are, and the crooked smiles and worn out miles between us, now I wonder where you are.” [ ► ]
I have long stopped asking why the mad do mad things…
• Sweet: pleasing in general; delightful, kind.
• Obsessive: strictly attached to one or a few things in particular, in a neurotic sense.
• Shy: being reserved or having or showing nervousness or timidity in the company of other people.
It’s a filthy world we live in, it’s a filthy goddamn helpless world…
Pierce had always been a daydreamer. All his life, the young man had been known as the one with the book in his hands. His father being a librarian left Pierce to wander aimlessly through the stacks, picking out all sorts of books and reading them. He became so well read that in the fourth grade he was already at a college reading level. This caused him to be taunted and so he withdrew from the people around him. He found solace in his books and as he grew older, he found himself wanting to travel from his home in Ireland to the Americas; California to be more specific.
Packing up what little belongings he had, Pierce moved and found a reasonably priced house in Los Angeles. He found a job quickly in the city’s biggest library of the time, and fell back into his old habits of living his life through books rather than dealing with the stresses of his reality. During the first few months of his time in Los Angeles, Pierce had no idea he was living in what would soon be known as the infamous murder house. He had heard of the deaths of the original owners, but it wasn’t until a chance glimpse of Nora Montgomery that he had really believed her spirit still roamed the house. Curious as to what other things he could dig up about the house, he researched as much as he could during his work days at the library.
His new obsession is what led him to meeting the woman he would find to be the love of his life. Delia, was another woman interested in ghost stories and had been researching them for a paper she was writing for one of her college classes. The two instantly hit it off, and Pierce shared his intimate knowledge of the place he called home. When he finally brought her home with him, Delia knew everything that Pierce was able to dig up, as well as doing some searching of her own and finding out some different things. She soon moved in and they were happy, for a couple years anyways.
As time went by, both Pierce and Delia began hating the thought of being away from the house for longer than an hour. Delia grew concerned for both of their mental health, but Pierce’s whole mind was wrapped around the house and the thought that he would be able to live forever; even in death. He wanted nothing more than to be with Delia for the rest of eternity, and while she started to show signs of growing distant, he ignored them. He pleaded with her to commit suicide with him, and for a while Delia told him no. Pierce was so persistent, and one day Delia had no choice but to say yes. They agreed to do it during dinner, a little bit of arsenic in their food. Pierce was elated at the thought of being forever linked with the love of his life. When the time came, he happily ate his food, never knowing that Delia hadn’t taken the poison along with him.
In death, Pierce frequents the library. Many times, he can be heard calling for his long lost love. He’s convinced she is still in the house, and is in constant search for her. He’s a kind ghost, that keeps to himself. He can be found reading books, or looking for other ghosts like himself. He’s still very shy, and his people skills haven’t improved over the 59 years being stuck in the house. He can come off a bit rude, but he means the best. He’s very open about being a ghost and will do little things to keep the living on the edge of their seats. If he thinks you don’t believe, watch out because by the time he’s done with you, it’ll be hard not to.
Are you sure you want to be alone? They say this house is haunted…
Milly VoLouse: Milly is number two on the list of kills by Pierce… though, he’s currently completely unaware that he’s done so. It was all bad timing, he just happened to be in the kitchen and focusing his energy on the stove as he every so often does when one of the hoses was severed from its place – unfortunately causing a gas leak that killed the already exhausted house-wife. Milly is also unaware that Pierce is her killer, though Pierce has noticed her, as she tends to stick around in the kitchen as well.
Harley Parker: Harley’s death was caused by Pierce, and just like with Milly – he’s completely unaware that his fit of rage caused her untimely demise. It was another, wrong place wrong time situation, as his fit of a haunt sent the chandelier in the foyer crashing down on the young woman when she was just about to leave. He didn’t stick around to see the result of the mess, but instead continued on through the house in blind confusion in search of his wife.
Brooke Starling: Brooke has started to become one of Pierce’s closest friends in the home. He enjoys speaking with her as much as he can considering she seems to be just as interested in the ghosts as he once was. It doesn’t hurt that the woman gives off a calming feeling to dispel any rages he might get on the days he misses Delia.
Eliza Buchanan: Eliza is another female Pierce has grown close to. While mostly they sit in silence, Pierce finds their moments together quite interesting. The woman holds a lot of the same qualities Pierce does and he enjoys the fact that they stay within the same realm as each other.
Pierce is portrayed by Arthur Darvill, and is currently taken.
