The alarm clock went silent afterwards as the faint red light dimmed to darkness. You twist and turn from your previous position until you were facing the edge side of the bed. 

You slowly open one of your eyes as you look out the window seeing as the sun already came up. You groan before hesitantly pulling the blanket off of you as the cold air hit your once warm body. 

You look towards your side of the bed to see the dismantled alarm clock that you threw at the wall earlier.

Oops. That's the third time this week... yikes!

ehh that's a later problem... you perched yourself at the edge of the bed as your feet dangle in the air. For some unknown reason you were stuck with the stupid top bunk all the way in the corner so now you have no where to put any of your weapons... life is so great. 

You jumped off the bed and landed on the cold metal floor which made you hiss at the feeling. You walked towards the destroyed alarm clock with wires and gears popping out of the whole thing.

You picked it up slowly and walked silently to your drawer. You pulled the knob before placing it along side all the other broken alarm clocks. You pushed the knob back inside and let out a tired sigh.

todays gonna be a long day isn't it-

you jump from your position all startled as your hands went flying to cover your face. Through the opening of your finger you see a very angry guard- 

"(Y.N) (L.N) ITS ALREADY A QUATER PAST TWO SO IF YOU EVER SO KINDLY GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED AND FINISH YOUR WORK THEN MAYBE I WONT HAVE TO BEAT YOUR LAZY ASS."

you lowered your your hands as you relax a bit. The blonde hair women who stood slightly taller than you started ranting on responsibilities and trust…

…I mean technically it's not your fault for not finishing your patrol hours... you were to busy last night trying to stop that guy from killing those two girls from the tribe folks area... but alas somethings aren't worth mentioning to the head counsel...

especially sense you had to hide the body after words covered in his blood-

Catherine waved her hand in-front of your face "earth to (y.n) hello????.. I don’t mean to be so harsh yea know... it's just the boss been on our asses because of those trash raiders who keep stealing from our district." 

You raised your hands above your head as you stretched letting out a satisfying pop sound echo the room. "Yea I know... but hey it's alright okay? Why don't you take a break? I know you've been working hard anyway I'll figure out who's stealing the trash." 

Catherine paused like you just revealed you had a pet llama this whole time "what??- but.. I mean are you sure? I don't want to-" 

you placed a hand on her shoulder giving it a small squeeze as you gave her a brief smile. "Positive don't worry about me... besides I'm chief of this group for a reason ya know? So I command you to go relax and hang out with your boyfriend ya hear me? Its not like you werent doing so last night" you chuckled at the end.

She tensed up and blushed furiously before snapping her head the other direction out of embarrassment. "O-okay... I'm just gonna... go now" her voice trialed off as she speed walked her way out of the room letting the door close behind her.

After she left you dropped your smile as your hollowed eyes follow towards the closest that was near the door. There, was your guard uniform and your taser shining in white and gold. You let out a sigh before rolling your shoulder as you slowly walked towards the closet

today's a new day... let's make it a good one.

the chattering of the carriage wheels and hooves hit the stone in a rhythmic manner. You waved at some of the coach men who tipped their hats off at you before disappearing behind you; the sounds of kids laughing and skipping through the sidewalk relaxed you as you smiled to yourself

So I have to find out who the trash stealer is... and then I can finish training and get some sleep... I can do patrol later

"Oi Chief! Didn't think you would wake up any time soon!"

You turn your head slightly to see a blonde hair man running towards you with a big smile on his face. When the guard got close he stopped as he bend down slightly placing his hand on his knees as he huff and puff out do exhaustion. you deadpan at his reaction before scolding him "oi ember??? Didn't I tell you to work on that stamina of yours???" 

He froze before quickly standing back up straight into a military pose as sweat beads down his forehead. "Um.... well- I mean.. um... sorry..?" He shrugged at the end giving a sorry smile.

you let out a tired sigh as your fingers went to message your temple to ease your headache. "you're lucky I feel nice today ember or else I would have pared you up with your sister." 

He freezes before going on his knees as his hand clasped together in a praying motion; in fear he screamed "PLEASE DON’T PARE ME WITH CATHERINE- SHES A MONSTER... Shes still trying to make me wear that ballerina dress- I CANT WEAR THAT TUTU PLEASE-"

you zoned out at his pleas... geez didn't you just say you weren't gonna pare them up?… maybe you should just to see him in that ballerina suit.

You turn around ready to continue on with your walk until you see a man with dark black hair leaning against a tree as he wrote something in his journal. Obviously theres nothing wrong with a guy trying to relax just the key thing is the he wore the tribe folk uniform…

I should start my investigation in the tribe folk area…the trash stealer is probably there-

“ehh (y.n)? You alright… you weren’t ignoring me were you- OOF”

he catches the heavy bag you threw at him. He hesitantly brought the bag up towards his face as he examined it before opening it revealing dozen upon dozens of silver coins which made his mouth drop.  You dusted your uniform, turning slightly towards him giving him a polite smile. “Heres for your troubles ember… knock yourself out.” You muttered a small cya before walking forward towards the gate; leaving the stunned man speechless.

when you arrived at the gate you slightly pushed it before hearing some foots steps behind you. You turn around slightly to see the guy from earlier with the journal in hand as he examines you.

You turn around and push the gates open which let out a creaking sound before stepping to the side. You politely say “After you.” To the man to which he gave a warm smile before going into the gates and disappearing from your sight.

you followed in after words as you shut the gate behind you which made a loud rattling sound before it was closed shut. You pull out a cigarette and a lighter; you lit the cigarette and inhaled it slowly before You exhaled slowly letting the grey smoke hit the ground watching it slowly fading away.

Lets get this over with

The cigarette sat in your mouth as you walk through the dirt road with junk almost everywhere. People either coward away in fear or gave you a dirty look before scoffing.. i mean i guess that's not the worst thing-

you feel face first into the ground as some dirt went into you mouth. You didn’t feel much pain but the taste of dirt was very unwelcoming as you pushed yourself off the ground and spat it right back out. 

You tried to move your leg but felt something hard right in front of it which made you turn your head slightly to see a broken lantern… and shocked white hair kid looking kid?

you stood up brushing the dirt off your uniform before turning around with your arms crossed trying to look tough and not trying to regurgitate the left over dirt in your mouth 

You see the white hair kid with blood red eyes stare in shock towards you... maybe anger? Opening and closing his mouth not knowing what to say… he looks familiar…. Ehh probably no one important

You examine the random stuff around him which was… literal garbage. I mean its kind of obvious now that he’s the trash stealer-

“D-DONT ARREST HIM- HE’S INNOCENT.”

you flinch at the sudden yell coming from your side. You turn slightly to see a girl… probably his age. “Listen kid, your boyfriend over here-“

“SHE/HE IS NOT MY BOYRFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND” they said in unision

… okay weird

you cleared your throat “anyways… i wasn’t even gonna arrest him”

they both stared at you like you just revealed you have two pet llamas “huh” the white hair kid open his mouth and mumbled “im not-“

”that doesn’t mean there isn’t a consequence, come on i'm taking you to your guardian for a chat.” You say as you tapped your feat against the ground a bit impatiently. He let out what sounds like a shocked cry or a dying horse…

You let the kid guide the way with you trailing behind him. The walk was quiet for the most part but you can tell the kid infront of you was visibly upset as he clenched his fist

Sigh testosterone...

you shake your head before saying "yea know yea could be in more trouble then you are right now.. you could show some gratitude."

he paused in his track which made you raise an eyebrow in confusion. The next second you freeze at his cold glare that pierced through your soul. 

The silence stretched before he slowly turned his head back around and continued walking back to his home.

Hesitantly you followed after him but kept a distance.

so this is the surebrec kid... I had a feeling.. what his name again..? Sudoku? Goku? Judo? Meh whatever

you both slowly went to a stop in-front of what looks like to be his house. This time you went in front of him as you stopped right outside the door and gave it a knock. 

You heard the footsteps from the inside get louder and louder before the door opened to a tall man-

wait a minute is that-

"oh it's you again."

The tall man (you concluded was rudo father) stared at in confusion and shocker before his eyes drifted off towards where his kid was. You cleared your thought before questioning "are you this kids guardian?" 

He hesitated before saying "his name is Rudo and you can call me regeto... and yes I am why?" 

You nodded before adding along "ya know he's been dumpster diving at my waste plant facility and it's been causing a ruckus.. fortunately I won't report him to head counsel this time... just see it it doesn't happen again" 

he pauses at your words before giving a polite smile towards you. "I understand officer... kid thank you" you gave a small nod before turning around looking at the kid who you now know is Rudo.  

you walked by him and patted his shoulder which caused him to tense up. "Don't go looking for trouble ya hear me kid... also work on your flirting skills they suck?" You didn't wait for an answer as you waved them off heading back to the upper side.

the walk back was relatively quiet which eased your head ache a bit but didn't help your clogged thoughts. I mean seriously that glare from earlier will add onto your list of nightmares, yikes!

And not to mention you basically gave all your money to ember and god knows what he's doing with it... man you were really saving that for the bar... whatever you'll just go next week once you get your pay check.

you arrived back in your room and the rest of your comrade slept peacefully in there bunked beds with some occasional snores hear and there. 

You took off your uniform coat and threw it by the closet before climbing the ladder up to your bed. Once you settle down you stare at the ceiling before you your vision slowly fades to darkness

Hmmmmm strawberry’s and mangos-

the next morning... after being dragged out of bed by Catherine and scolded by the boss for not completing your work. You were called for an execution assembly near the pit...

You stood in an assembly room surrounded by the other division of guards; even some of the head counsel members were there.

It wasn't everyday that execution happen yea... but it still never sat right with you to kill someone like that

oh don't be a hypocrite. You kill people all the time

You Make it sounds like I'm a mass murder stop being so dramatic it only happend twice.

Oh i definitely will now you see on that fine day you-

"-and last but not least chief (y.n) of sector twelve. You'll be on patrol around the area make sure no funny business is happening." 

You snapped out of your thought as you see your boss coldly look down at you. Straightening your posture, you answer back "Yes boss." Which earned you a gruff good from him. 

"You may be dismissed." He commanded to all the groups as they all stood and salute to your boss who exited the stage in a quickly manner.

After he left you and your group marched into the tribe folk area before splitting up.

You were stuck with Gina one of your coworkers. You both don't talk as much... mainly because she's almost forty and working, but you mutually respect each other especially for her age and wisdom.

You both walked around the upper area... mutually agreeing not to be anywhere near the execution it self as the sun rose causing colors or orange and blue to emerge from the horizon...

it was peaceful as it can be... ignoring the fact someone is destined to be banished in hell today

You felt a slight shove of your shoulders which made you snap your head towards a the person who did it. It was a cloak man that you couldn't make out the face well, but you see him pause before turning slightly towards you. 

You muttered a small "sorry sir" before bowing your head slightly and turning around to where Gina was trying to cover her disgusted glare to the masked man. 

It stared at you tilting his head almost amusingly before quickly going to the opposite direction.

Weird

gina added "sometimes I don't get how you can be so... patient with these people." 

You let out a slowly chuckle before shrugging "we're all humans at the end... I'd treat everyone fairly." 

She shrugged before muttering fair enough before it went silent again.

at a distance you see a familiar white hair kid and a brown hair girl. You squint your eyes and there you see that kid rudo form yesterday holding out a stuff animal to which the girl happily took it. 

How is this kid more rizzy than me????... I guess I have to pull my ultimate move and steal yo girl Rudo.... heheheheheh

You huff as you quicken your pace towards them leaving a confused Gina behind. It seemed none of them notice as Rudo was to busy looking away and blushing like a high school girl so you took the opportunity and slung your arm around the girl shoulder.

"are you actually flirting with her properly this time... damm I gotta respect the hussle."

Rudo froze at that familiar voice as Chiwa let out a shriek at the sudden contact. He slowly turn his head as the color drown from his face to see that stupid smug guard arm slung around his girl his friend shoulder.

He furiously yell "I- WELL- YOU- GAHHH SHUT UP TURD FACE-" 

Your mouth dropped before you slightly yelled back; stepping closer "TURD FACE??? Boi you must be mistaking YOURSELF- HELL GO LEARN SOME MANNERS BEFORE I TEACH YOU-" 

he deadpan before stepping closer yelling back "YOUR THE SAME AGE AS ME TURD BRAIN DONT ACT SO TOUGH WITH ME

you didn't back down as you took another step "Well TECHNICALLY I'm actually eighteen so you better watch your mouth pee brain" 

he also stepped closer as he can feel your breath "I call bullshit... turd brain." 

You didn't say anything as your face darken before a mischievous smile spread on your face "oh I'm so telling regeto~" you say before stepping back and running towards rudo house direction leaving a stunned girl and a stunned Gina behind.

Rudo froze as he went pale. "NO- WAIT GET BACK HERE" He yelled before running after you.

you made a sharp turn as the dirt lifted underneath you. Enforce speed walking towards his house.. maybe you should arrest him just for being a pain in the ass I mean- what type of testosterone horse calls a girl a turd face???

You stood infront of the house as you gave it a softer knock this time... this time you'll surely get him-

"GAHHH-"

you fell to the ground as something heavy pushed you down. You snapped your head back to see Rudo trying to hold you down as you squirm. "Oi stop that! FUUC-" 

you kicked the back of his ankle before pushing him off entirely. You stood up in a second before turning the door knob and pushing the door open in a fast movement. 

You turn expecting to see the old man shocked, hell even running towards you but the sense of dread filled your sense as you stopped in your track staring at the sight in formt of you.

rudo yelled at you trying to get your attention but you just stared with... a scared expression? He stood up and hesitantly looked through the door and froze.

The knife was pushed into regeto... killing him.

rudo pushed you aside before rushing towards him; falling on his knees as he tries to breath, huffing and puffing as the words can't escape his mouth. 

You slowly walk to rudo side as you crouch down examining his wounds.

Rudo was shaking his dying body slightly yelling "regeto... your still alive... h-how did this- doesn't matter IM GONNA HELP YOU RIGHT NOW- YOURE GONNA PULL THROUGH-" 

"RUDO" 

"IM TELLING YOU TO GET OUT OF THERE THE WORLD IS A STEAMING PILE OF CRAP... make something useful out of it...."

You place two finger on his wrist trying to find a pulse or anything... but found nothing. 

6:47 AM on Tuesday, regeto is officially dead

You hesitantly wrap your arm around Rudo and this time he didn't flinch or clear away but instead leaned into the little warmth you had letting the tears spill onto... his dead body. 

You heard a soft popping sound behind you which made you slightly turn and then-

BBBZZZZT BZZZZZT BZZSSST BSSZZSSTT.

You feel to the ground paralyzed by the... electric gun? You heard more footsteps come in and heard a familiar voice yell "CLEAR" to the other guards as they hand cuffed Rudo. 

You left your head to see Gina by the door way with a cold glare while she stares at you. She yells "SEND THE KID AWAY. I'LL DEAL WITH 'CHEIF'" 

Rudo and the other guards voice blurred out as your face contorted into confusion. You yelled back "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS- WHAT ARE YOU DOING GINA-"

"Shut your f*cking mouth ya murder. After all these years you go around and murdering people... hell I gave you my highest regards- someone of your age accomplished what no other fifteens year old could do.... yet you throw it away."

Your eyes widen as you know what she's about to say. You plead "Gina please this is a misunderstanding the kid- I mean Rudo nor I killed this man- you have to believe me!" 

There was silence as your paralyzed body wasn't moved nor touch by any of the guard as they wait for Gina orders. She brought a walkie talkie near her mouth and spoke loud enough to hear you 

"Strip her of everything she got... and prepare for two more executions."

your eyes widen in shock but soon in fear as the guard start to surround you and hand cuffed your arms behind your back. You try pleading again "GINA YOU ARENT LISTENING-"

you heard her footsteps come closer before the last thing you see was a feet coming to your face and hitting you.

the first thing you notice was the sound around you.

the crowd sounds of people hissing slurs and chants of kill the demon go in one ear and out the other ear.

the next thing you felt was touch. 

you felt the rough shirt (tank top?) against your skin and the rough pants which were definitely to big on you. The cold air hits your exposed arm and scars causing goose bumps to awaken in its presence

the next thing was your smell. 

You smell the aroma of dirt and slightly stinky laundry... that so great

You still taste the dirt from yesterday... along side with some blood as the iron taste fills your throat.

Lastly your sight 

you open your eyes as your vision adjust to the brightens. You see white blobs of people and the very blue sky as your eye sight adjust to the lighting. 

It was only after a while did you fully see the white blobs as the tribe folk pointing and hurrying insults your way.

you were being dragged across the ground as your arms and legs were completely sealed shut. You tried opening your mouth but a sharp pain hit your jaw and you realized you've been muzzled as the spiked stood way too close to your jaw.

You were lifted up easily as the shake from your arm and legs were released. You tried kicking the guard but this just earned a sharp punch across your face causing more blood to sputter out.

your arms were tied shut to ropes as you were slowly lifted up. One guard called out "hey shouldn't we remove her utility belt?" The boss grunted before saying "why should we? She'll need it to fight off those demons in hell" 

you simply stared at the boss who stared back in disappointment before turning his gaze towards the other guards

you didn't bother looking at the priest who was preaching about how a demon witch like me belongs in hell your eyes scanned the crowd noticing Rudo on the side most likely getting his execution next... poor kid

you notice that stupid mask guy from earlier... great now he's taunting me. You didn’t bother giving him the satisfaction of fear as your eyes continued roaming the crowd. You stopped at the familiar sight of blonde twins as they face your direction... in fear.

you carefully open your mouth to the point where the muzzle spikes won't hurt you. You try to yell but it came out in a raspy whisper. "ember... Catherine- help please..." 

of course they couldn't hear you but when you see they gaze properly... they stared in disgust at you before turning the head away...

they... they don't believe me..?

now you could make a impact full speech hopefully so impactful that they spar your life and forget this whole day and you can get back you 9-5 job and live a peaceful life…. Or you can emotionally scar them about your backstory…..

You let out a tired sigh before a light bulb in your mind as you yelled “FINAL WORDS ARE……” everyone leaned in with anticipation… well everyone besides rudo

“i was the one who got those infected rat in boss cake last Friday” you say with a proud grin.

You felt the ropes around your writ feel light and the cold air hitting your back. When you open your eyes through the last thing you saw was rudo scared face before all you could see was the clouds as you descended further and further down.
