   Obtaining the fake ID was easy. Buying the drinks was easy. The flirting was easy. The release was easy; needed. But facing Shamus–that was hard.

Newton was running quite late–was being a keyword there. He was suppose to give a lecture at the Magical Creatures branch of MACUSA regarding his book and a “How to” section on dealing with a sudden migration of them. But, he received a telegram at his hotel this morning regarding a sudden change in plans which involved rescheduling the lecture for next month. He had been on his way to protest the change, already running late for the previous time when–

“Bugger!”

Newt chewed his lower lip; his gaze cast downward as he stood still, waiting for the female to finish wrapping the bitten and bloodied hand. Was he ashamed? Of course he was.. He knew better than to test his luck with creatures who were new to his case.. Especially as they were working through the shock of being surrounded by so many other creatures; and yet he wanted to try.. 

Newt’s eyes once again would close to her affection, this time a tussle of his hair; his cheeks seeming to remain a warm pink to her word and affection. But still, he would frown in guilt to her offer to help tend to the creatures.. This was his mistake.. And he didn’t want to put her out for it; but there was no way he would be able to tend to his creatures with just a single hand.. His left one at that.  

Newt would watch the scene unfold lightly before his eyes; the pampered Fwooper, the jealous Niffer; and saw a bit of himself in the female and what she had offered to him.. Of course he could trust her.. He would be fooling to not do so..
