Welcome to the Show

     After spending nearly two hours trying to control the bleeding around his patient’s heart, Christian was in dire need of a break. The thirty-three year old man was out of the woods for now…barely. There was still no telling if he was going to wake up, not after that much blood loss, and his condition could change at any time. To put it simply, he was in a comatose and vegetative state. Unfortunately. While Christian prided himself on being the best heart surgeon in the city, sometimes, not even he could fix everyone. As soon as he stepped onto the vacant elevator in his scrubs, he kicked the wall, nearly shoving his fist through it with anger before he sucked in a huge breath and pressed the button for the ground floor, the emergency room. He had to get a grip. It was just one patient. One patient, yes, but failure was not a word in his vernacular. It never had been and it never would be. 

     When he stepped off of the lift a moment later, he headed in the direction of the on call room, where he could lie down and rest, get a nap in before his next big surgery. However, he found himself stopping in his tracks when he saw an attractive young brunette wandering the hall in a hospital gown and from the look on her face, she appeared to be lost. His forehead wrinkled in concern as he took a few more steps in her direction. “Excuse me?” When he got her attention, he offered her a friendly smile. “Hi sweetheart. You seem a little lost. Are you okay?” 

Moving to a new town made her first exploration of the small wood near her home very exciting, but also incredibly dangerous. When trying to make her way up an oak, she fell. She originally thought she was just bruised and scraped, but when the brunette tried to stand, she realised her wrist was most likely broken. 

She took a taxi to the hospital and went to the ER where they checked her in and sent her to radiology for an x-ray, but being the explorer she was, she decided to look around. After all, this would be her new second home. 

Unfortunately, on her way back to her room, she got lost. She wandered around until she came upon a handsome man... A doctor. “You have no idea. I am quite lost, actually. Could you help?” She asked hesitantly ,biting her lip. She hoped she wouldn't get in trouble for being where she was not supposed to.
