Nathaniel shrugged his shoulders. “Gives me something new to do on my next day off.” Which just happened to be the next day. “I wouldn’t do this for just anyone, of course.” In fact, he wouldn’t really do this for anyone.
T.J. chews his lower lip as he thinks. “Not just anyone? That make me special then?” he asks playfully, his tone soft and shy. He taps his fingers on the counter, still mulling over the other’s offer. It’s not exactly a bad idea to have someone with knowledge of the area show him around...but he wasn’t quite keen on a hanging around a stranger that long. T.J. isn’t very good with people, much preferring to keep to himself and his work unless he was the one seeking out company. Having someone else seek out his company always made him weary, feeling like they wanted something from him.
