Is what we do when scrolling through Instagram... Something heard after tuning into @kellyokogwu @intothelightpodcast The type of comparison we do unintentionally, which I agree @coleenmensa is the worst kind. First time hearing it but it sounds logical. I sometimes leave insta feeling drained. I can legit fall asleep on Twitter. So much info per milli second. I also went through an unfollow spree...just last year. I tried to do ‘sparks joy’ (Marie Kondo) cleanse but insta wasn’t having it (Blocked Me...that’s all they know) & I ended up unfollowing almost everyone. In consideration of my entire health (physical, financial, mental, spiritual, emotional) I needed to declutter my feed and fill it with positivity around #Wellness & #ChronicIllness. This is something I personally have to manage hence the route I’ve taken. I also strongly believe in unfollowing (softblock) anyone who isn’t good for my mental & emotional health. Some people take this to heart but We don’t have to. Let people have space url & irl. And remember it might not be forever. Social media can be as toxic as you make it. Be intentional, take breaks & have a feed You are happy with. https://www.instagram.com/p/B83rHlDFhKE/?igshid=1kmn78hoinkhh
