A short getaway with my uni best friends to elegant Tokyo, whereas Japan was never my top travel destination on the list in despite its the top 1 travel destination for Taiwanese, and somehow after visiting Kyushu, Japan last year (see more post from here), I went to Japan 3 times in a year with Tokyo twice in a month....see how interesting life can be?

After a 3 hours flight landing into rainy Tokyo, we went straight to Roppongi for dinner to the renown I-La ramen, then to crave for Michelin 3 stars exquisite dessert-  “Toshi Yoroizuka”

What I love most about Toshi Yoroizuka was it’s open kitchen, and the idea of sitting at the bar seeing dessert made from scratch was just a pleasure for my eyes.  

Toshi Yoroizuka has spent several years in Europe training in Switzerland, Germany, France and Belgium before returning to Japan, currently having 2 boutique cafes, an atelier, and a farm.

Can’t get my eyes off the hand-drawing menu, and we just can't help but ordered 4 out of 8 off the menu!! “Mille-feuille aux Fraises, Souffle aux chocolate orange, Wakatake, and Tarte Tatin.”

All desserts were made after ordered.

We saw how the Mille-feuille aux Fraises were being assemble with the season’s fresh strawberries; the process of soufflé from steamed to came fresh out of the oven, a dessert we’ll never forget for its fuffly, silkiness, and melt the second into our watery mouth; Wakatake brought out the oriental Japan with green tea cake and red bean fusion with the occidental pastry; and you can’t ask for more when you have cinnamon ice cream on top of Tarte Tatin with the signature baked apple and custard cream, we were astonishing here and there for the surprise ride it took our tastebud.

The menu change seasonally, and how I wonder what’s next on the menu on my next trip to Tokyo.  

這一次跟好朋友來到東京，對東北亞沒有什麼興趣的我，至從去年第一次到九州遊玩後（請見旅遊文），整個超喜歡日本，也難怪日本屢屢為台灣人心目中排行第一的旅遊國家！繼上次九州後，連續在一年內前往日本三次！人生還真是奇妙～

飛行三小時後，歡迎我們的是溼冷陰雨綿綿的東京。到達東京都放下行李後，我們直奔六本木，大啖熱騰騰的一蘭拉麵，再前往已列入口單名單已久的米其林三星甜點店『Toshi Yoroizuka 鎧塚俊彥』

 Toshi Yoroizuka 鎧塚俊彥最大的特色也是我最喜歡的地方是它小巧精緻的開放廚房，讓客人可以坐在吧台上欣賞甜點師傅們施展魔法的華麗甜點秀。

鎧塚俊彥出生於宇治京都23歲開始專職甜點，30歲遠赴歐洲，花七年時間在瑞士、奧地利、法國、比利時等地學藝。33歲即在比利時的三星米其林法國餐廳 Bruneu擔任甜點主廚，為歐洲第一位擔任米其林餐廳的日籍甜點主廚。除了我們光顧的六本木店之外，在惠比壽也有一家，並還有一間atelier與farm。

手繪風menu洗鍊的線條另我愛不釋手，可以讓人感受甜點精緻的內涵與自然食材的使用，另一個更讓我們愛不釋手不知從哪下手的是⋯⋯到底要選哪一個甜點好呢？每一樣看起來都有它獨有的特色，在味蕾碰撞出不同的火花，好在人多我們從8樣甜點中選了4樣−Mille-feuille aux Fraises （草莓千層派）, Souffle aux chocolate orange（橙香巧克力舒芙雷）, Wakatake, and Tarte Tatin. 

所有的甜點都是在選定後各別訂製的。

我們坐在吧台上看著Mille-feuille aux Fraises （草莓千層派）一層一層步步的往上疊上去，撲上當季最鮮甜的草莓；最讓我們驚呼連連的是Souffle aux chocolate orange（橙香巧克力舒芙雷），第一次看到Souffle舒芙雷製作過程，在隔水加熱的鍋子上蒸上一陣子後便進入烤箱，蓬鬆綿密舒芙雷熱騰騰地從烤箱出爐進入眼簾，如絲緞帶般的滑順綿密舒芙雷配上香甜橙香巧克力一口一口地滑入口裡，讓我們難以忘懷心中舒芙雷排行第一該有的姿態；料理東西軍代表Wakatake將法式甜點加上東洋元素，經典日式綠茶結合西式糕點再以甜蜜紅豆完美融合，在眾多冷盤甜點中暖活我們的味蕾； 最後一道Tarte Tatin經典烤蘋果、肉桂冰淇淋，融上香濃custard與酥脆蘋果的香濃結合，滿足了我們在東京的第一夜晚。

Want to have a glimpse of luxury auction? Hôtel Drouot, a large auction house in Paris, known for fine art, antiques, and antiquities, consists of 16 halls hosting 70 independent auction firms is where you should come along when visiting Paris besides walking down Avenue des Champs-Élysées and Place Vendôme for luxury brands.

There's a list of upcoming auction date, can search beforehand what you are into before coming in case running into a day with no auction, which I am not sure if it might happen or not. Above pic with bubbles of heads and scarfs was Hermès's auction. And somehow the toilet in Hôtel Drouot need 0.5€, but we all went one after another without shutting the door down the knot after using it or else the next person need to pay 0.5€ for it. I thought finding toilet in Paris was one of the hardest thing on the planet. And was one of the MUST KNOW FRENCH besides greeting Bonjour and Merci. Further will write a post about bathroom in Paris. There you'll find the crowd, people who answer the phone for phone buyer, the guy who hold the item, the person who announce the item and description, person who record the list of buyer.....it's a busy busy fast working place. Sorry for whoever got cut by out panoramic.  :( First of all, we wish every one a Happy Chinese New Year! May this year be prosperous, flourish in all your wishes, and merrier to the Year of the Horse. We've been so busy helping with Mom buying ingredients and food preparation for the feast on New Year's Eve. Our grandpa comes from a small village called Nantung in Shanghai, he is 92 this year, birthday on New Year day, for us this is the biggest day of the year besides celebrating the New Year to come! It's been popular these years for people to buy take out New Year food from hotels and restaurants, however it's a big NO for Mom since she thinks it's not sincere to celebrate the feast, moreover she is a good cook, she cooks far good than one mass of food. She prepared a full table of Chinese New Year's food where you can read it here. We climbed over people and fight our way in Nanmeng Market to buy ingredients , where all regions of Chinese food are being sold there. Mom said it's the market where every regions people can find what they need, the first photo is written "North and South Goods", really a place where various of Chinese food can be find there. Tim and Tiff were both astonished by all kinds of food, however there were many we eat them regularly at home, and at there we realized what we eat everyday are all Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions food. No wonder everytime we visit a Shanghainese restaurant we were like "Uh...isn't that what Mom just cooked the other day?" Also, Mom said it was a place for people to buy ingredients when they have guests in the house, they have ingredients that are rarely being sold outside and the finest as well. Mom told us when she was young, every time she came here, the shop owner would asked her "Having guest today in the house?" and they'll find the finest food for her to welcome the guest. They say when you travel- must go to a local market to understand the culture. When in Taiwan, must pay a visit to Nanmeng Market and brisk through behind the scene of Chinese food. Specifically we were buying egg dumpling, it's same thing as the dumpling we eat, however the wrapping is made by egg. Mom reminded us we must buy fresh ones, not those that have been made few days ago and lived in the fridge, but ones that were handmade and cook on the spot. The gold dumplings resemble money and will be put in the main soup we eat on New Year's Eve to wish everyone Gong Hey Fat Choy, a shiny year with gold. Another thing was on the list was: ham. The soup Mom was making need ham to brew the taste, she added a tiny slice of ham each day to make the taste much thicker and thicker. Tim drank the soup and said: "This is what 'soup layer' called." The sausages handing on the hooks are sausages of different regions taste. A woman yelled out to the shop staff (it's was busy and loud in there) "What's the difference between Yunnan (Yunan Province) sausage and the normal sausage?" "It's stronger taste with more spices." We also found raw ingredient of food like fermented glutinous rice (the photo that looks like white bubble), normally what we had are ready-to-cook fermented glutinous rice and eat them during winter times to whisk away the cold, it's good for ladies, Mom used it this year for New Year Eve dish with shrimp. Quiet an interesting place, Tim and Tiff had so much fun here, we did come here when we were young, however from the above squishy, squashy photo you'll find, it's not a pleasant place for kiddo to enjoy the smelly adult air. We told Mom we know where to find good foods and would initiative come here when our tastebud is on for something now.

我在台灣就超愛吃falafel了，能在巴黎吃到falafel，超開心的，它也擠進巴黎行的美食排行榜上。這一天我跟朋友在瑪黑區閒逛，突然看到一間又一間又一間的falafel餐館，讓我忍不住一定要吃一個！ 我們逛巴黎時從沒有想過今天會逛到哪，只是說「今天我們從xx站開始逛好不好？ 好！」然後就會從那一站開始走，走到哪算到哪。這樣旅遊感覺蠻好的，不會急急忙忙，很享受也很自在，而非一定要去哪裡不可，最後搞到大家都不開心。 剛有提到瑪黑區有超多賣falafel的，為什麼會在這一間停下來，實在是看到站在外面吸引客人的員工的用心。他手上印有9種語言的菜單。看到我經過，他先大聲的對我說「Kon'nichiwa（日文）」，見我沒有反應接下來說 「Annyeonghaseyo（韓文） 」，見我要走人了，馬上大聲喊「你好！！！！」，停下腳步回眸一笑，真是難取悅的一位觀光客。 我覺得falafel很健康，falafel集合我們一餐所需要的所有營養，它是素食，更重要它只要⋯⋯7歐？！(印象價格在這附近，很划算就是了，能這樣在巴黎飽足一餐是很快活的！）

Falafel來自中東，Pita麵包包了炸falafel混鷹嘴豆、茄子、黃瓜、生菜、洋蔥、最後淋上酸奶～超好吃！

前幾天在一本巴黎旅遊書上看到來巴黎瑪黑區一定要選這一間falafel，我只能說我們實在是誤打誤撞選這一間，但有可能是因為我們有靈敏的鼻子，是個老饕，什麼旅遊書，別了，靠自己最自在。

旅程：巴黎奧利機場(Orly)- 倫敦市機場(London City) 航空：CITYJET 是一家總部設於愛爾蘭首都都柏林（Dublin）的航空公司，但卻以巴黎戴高樂（Charles de Gaulle）國際機場為主要樞紐港，主要是從倫敦城市機場出發，是法國航空（Air France）轉投資成立的公司。 選擇航行的機場主要在市中心，所以搭乘的乘客通常會以商務人士為主，但任何人都可以搭啦。 我搭CityJet來回巴黎倫敦, City Jet 飛機是小型Forkker 50, 可以乘坐52位乘客, 2位機師, 2位空服員. CityJet從巴黎Orly機場飛到倫敦城市機場（東倫敦）, 倫敦城市機場有輕軌可以直達倫敦市區。 飛機小而美，座位了話因為是小型飛機當然會窄一點，飛行時間一個多小時，會副一份小三明治餐點，對於想要從巴黎南方市區到達倫敦市區會是另一個好選擇。 至於為什麼選擇此航空，是因為我住離ORLY機場較近比從CDG飛方便，價格不錯，也就買了～

BICESTER VILLAGE OPEN HOUR: Mon-Fri & Sun 1000-1900; Sat 0900-2000 *Be aware some shops are only open for browsing in some day or have late opening and early closing.

This is my MUST GO recommend for shopper. Wanna learn about what's IN in Britain, what brand, department store, what's out there, your trip is to Bond St. and Regent St. If you wanna SHOP SHOP SHOP, with good deal, this is your final destination. Bicester Village is an outlet shop in Oxford. There are tons of these outlet shop in Europe, another I went to is in suburb Paris, La Vallée Village (close to Paris Disneyland), I got VERY good deal of Longchamp with a superb camel gold color, another is beige, which both can't be found in stores. All about luck when shopping in outlet, you see it, grab it, or cry afterwards. There are more British brand in Bicester Village and more French Brand in La Vallée Village, I guess it might be the same in other European outlets. I was in a quick rush for the trip since my bus back to London would be taking off soon. I didn't buy anything, cos I didn't have a time to think or hesitate, which i like or don't like, so I was like, forget it, and now i do REGRET it. The bus from Bicester Village to Oxford town took approximately 15-20mins, there are bus and train from London if you are only on a shopping trip. For crazy shopper, i sincerely suggest you don't plan this trip together with a day stroll in Oxford, or else leave more time for the outlet, or completely have a day in the Village if you wanna shop by stores to stores.

Reading the city's name, I do wonder what there is in Bath. Bath is a city southwest of London, a World Heritage Site, can be visited by train

, and is well-known for it's Roman Spa. In the Roman year when they were expanding and invading others territory, they once set foot and occupied Bath, there they found hot spring, became a popular spa town, the town was then developed with varieties of theatres, museums and other cultural, sports venues. Georgian style architecture can be found here. We had a Sally Lunn bun which it's a special tea bun have served for centuries.  A walk in the old town, visiting the spa, went to Jane Austen Centre(the lady i took with is Jane Austen), a place intro about her and Bath, when she had lived here for couple of years, the Royal Crescent was a big WOW when seeing the crescent building. If thinking the town is small and only a historical site and a bit bored, a big NO NO, there is this big Apple Store, TopShop..and more. 看字面上的意思，會很好奇Bath這一個城鎮是什麼來著。Bath位於倫敦西南，是一座世界文化遺產的城鎮，可搭
