Wildest Dreams

“Boring. didn’t do much I started dinner, baked calamari and spaghetti squash” he said running his hand up and down Aubrey’s spine “umm…I reread the shining”

‘ One of these days I’m going to just take a month or two off to spend everyday with you. I also call cooking tomorrow...you cook amazing food for us every night. If I’m going to be a good wife I need to step up. ‘ Of course course Aubrey couldn’t cook to save her life. ‘ Read it to me sometime? --- ‘

“Do you want me to try it on?” Chandler asked sinking further 8into the couch cuddling Aubrey before he’d have to let go.

‘ Please? ‘ She felt him sink more and it made her giggle into his chest. ‘ But not yet...I like being right here. ‘ Slowly closing her eyes she found her favorite spot to rest her head and inhaled slowly. ‘ How was your day though? I was to busy freaking out to ask you before. --- ‘

“I just–uh.” Matty froze, not quite sure what to say.

‘ I’m sorry...I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that. I’m not usually like this....I’m just so stressed out...I hope you can forgive me. --- ‘

“Okay, okay. I’m sorry, right. Uh.. Can I buy you a drink?”

 ‘ No...because one I’m engaged and it’s out of respect for my fiancee...and two I don’t drink...last time I had a drink I was drunk after two sips. --- ‘ She sighed softly, a small smile tugging at her lips from the memory. 

Chandler hugged her to his chest “You make me happy everyday” he said kissing her temple. He knew they would have to have the growing old together conversation about how he couldn’t exactly grow old, but everything felt so perfect he couldn’t dream of ruining it. Chandler laughed at her question “I don’t think you have it in you. You don’t have a violent bone in your body” 

As his arms securely wrapped around her, she felt her anxiety fade away with each passing second. Her breathing slowly went back down to normal and her heart beat? It still skipped a few beats when she was with him...which was normal. ‘ You make me happier Casper. ‘ She whispered lightly kissing his chest again. Thinking about her last few words and his laughter made her laugh as well. ‘ I honestly don’t...when it comes to anything remotely hurting you...I can’t fathom the thought. ‘ She murmured lightly. As a thought entered her head she sat up quickly with a gasp. ‘ Your tux came in by the way! --- ‘ 

Chandler waited until Aubrey walked further into their room so he could grab her hand and pull her on the couch. “I won’t regret anything that includes you in my life, ever.” he said scooting her into his lap.”You’re nothing like my first wife, plus you couldn’t kill me if you tried.” he said with a smile trying to lighten the mood. 

As he scooted her onto his lap, she curled up against him moving her head into his chest. Her fingers moved up to the side of his cool neck. ‘ Are you sure? I honestly only want to make you happy Chandler...I don’t want you to ever have an unhappy day for as long as...well...can I really say live? ‘ Nuzzling her nose into his chest. ‘ What if I tried for fun? --- ‘ She mused lightly, his words already making her feel better. 

“Would this be a bad time to ask if you’re okay?” 

‘ look at me...just look at me for two seconds Elliot. Does it remotely look like I’m okay? --- ‘ She spoke up to her co-worker. 

“Weddings are awesome. I hope it works out for you,pal.”

‘ I’m freaking out about my wedding plans falling through right under my feet. My perfect day...and all you have to say is weddings are awesome? Really? --- ‘ She was starting to breathe a little heavier panicking. 

“Hey, hey. That’s actually really good advice you’re giving yourself right now. The hotel being booked does sound like a real bummer, but listen. Aubrey, is it? Don’t freak out. You’ll figure something out. There’s still time, right?”

Aubrey looked to the blonde woman that approached her with a small smile. Though she was on the verge of tears she nodded listening to the other. ‘ Y...you’re right...there is still time...I just wanted things to be perfect for my fiancee. ‘ She started taking a few deep breaths to really calm down. ‘ I’m sure I’m overreacting...I’m sorry you had to witness that small meltdown. --- ‘

“Why here?”

‘ Because...I have my reasons. --- ‘

“Can’t we just move it? the sooner the better.” Chandler said from the couch as his distressed fiance walked in.

‘ I...I mean we can, but I just didn’t want it to be too soon and you regret it...this way we have time in case you don’t want me...because I know how your first marriage was and I don’t want it to be the same for you. I just want it to be perfect...you deserve that... --- ‘ She whispered pacing slightly. 

“So then just pick somewhere else?”

‘ You see, I would...but it has to be here. --- ‘
