Yo I tried to reasonably explain this to people on twitter and got ATTACKED 

if you read “Please let Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun know how you feel about this. Scooter also manages several artists who I really believe care about other artists and their work. Please ask them for help with this” and you think taylor’s asking you to bully them, you’re wrong. she’s asking us to make some noise and demand justice, not turn into the manipulative, mean bullies they are.

I want to add to this. Because I am seeing some stuff on twitter float around that say Big Machine is planning to sue Taylor based on the DMs and some of the nasty comments that were directed towards them. I am not saying all of us played part in this, however, enough people did so that they now have a case to make against Taylor and they have already filed the report. This is according to what someone online heard from someone who works at a law firm in Nashville. I don’t know if this winds up being accurate or fake, however, please. If you decide to go one on one with Scott or Scooter in DMs, or tag them in instagram stories, etc. Choose your words very very carefully. There is a reason Scooter is trying to act civil and calm in those DMs, he is trying to spin the narrative that he and Scott are the victims in this. And they now have a case to make. Do not make this worse for Taylor. Make noise and be outraged, but do not give them more ammunition in the forms of threats to them or their families.

the fact of the matter is, alexandria ocasio cortez and elizabeth warren have a hell of a lot more to lose by publicly supporting taylor than shawn and ed. not to mention that shawn and ed are literally taylor’s friends. i’m disgusted. women supporting women is my favorite thing in the world and men can suck it.

I cannot articulate how stupid and useless it is to raise money to buy billboards for Taylor in Nashville. She is a multimillionaire. Everyone already knows what’s going on, so you likely aren’t raising awareness. You can bring awareness by posting about it. I’ve seen swifties now raise $2000 for billboards, and they want more. Please for the love of god instead of donating to something useless like billboards, donate your money to 1) charity of your choice, 2) a politician who has a history of fighting for artists rights, 3) an organization dedicated to helping musicians and artists, or 4) buying an up and coming artists music, especially one who has spoken up for Taylor. Your billboards do nothing, and I’ve already seen people on twitter rightfully upset that we are putting so much force with MONEY behind something useless when we could be doing something good.

I love how people jump from calling Taylors fans “harmless teenage girls uwu” to “killer assassins that are a threat to male millionaires and their families” whenever it fits them
