emrys-jones:
Depends where we’re going, don’t it? It might be somewhere shit. In which case i’d much rather stay ‘ere.
Well, in such a case, I think I'd miss Finland even more, y'know. It really is nice here, though. Despite how cold it is.
itsjust-jarednicole:
I just want to go somewhere warm.
Maybe you'll get your wish! A tropical place would be really gorgeous and a good way to end the year, I think.
I kind of like it here. I'll be sad to leave.
I don’t think so. I don’t have anyone really to buy anything for.
Besides my mom, I don't either. But I bought a few small gifts to hand out to people that I'll see on Christmas.

Oh…I didn’t think of that. That might be nice considering…uhm. Thank you. I will have to do that. And no, my parents don’t know where I am either, I just sort of…left.
I feel bad because they're all really generic gifts, but I don't really know anyone that well yet. Ah, I see.. My mom knows I'm on the bus, but she doesn't know where the bus is.
Not quite. I have two more to purchase. I am looking for something special for my mother. Have you completed your Christmas shopping?
Who is the other one for? I've just finished mine, yes. Still need to wrap things, though. My mom's is already in the mail.
tylerjennings:
I’m not getting anyone shit. Fuck that.
Well, just because you didn't get gifts doesn't mean you shouldn't expect them.
So, I'm pretty sure I just dined and dashed.
Now I just hope I don’t get arrested…or something.
Pretty sure? How did you not know one way or the other?
itsjust-jarednicole:
I haven’t bought a damn thing.
Are you planning to?

simon-andrada:
Not really. No.
Really? Do you have anyone to buy gifts for on the bus?
spiritthemoonchild:
Shopping for who? Besides, I don’t have any money…
People on the bus! Or family, if you plan on sending gifts. I've just wrapped my mom's gift few days ago and put it in the mail. She doesn't know where I am, so I don't know how she'll send me cookies or anything like that.
alexandra-annois:
Why are you asking? I’m not giving you anything.
I-I guess I was just checkin' to see where everyone was with their gifts... I, um, I'm not expecting any gifts. Maybe from my mom, but otherwise...
3 days until christmas! Is everyone done with their shopping?
Bright and Early // Addison & Gavyn
"Uh." Gavyn nodded awkwardly with a light smile. "Yeah. I really like the movies. Can’t remember them much though. But they were good."
Not sure if the male wanted to talk much more he walked over to the opposite side of the room and took a seat, analyzing the architecture of the room. He shifted his eyes from the ceiling to the walls, and once he got a bit bored with it all, took a lean forward and sent a determined look to the floor, ready to analyze the random marks in the wood flooring.
Gavyn was bored, and if he had anything to recollect further, he would. Like moments that Gabriel and him would spend together. Gavyn could only wish to remember the time Gabriel gave him his signature affection, but nothing came to mind, except the basic fact—they ‘hung out’.
A smile lights up Addison's face. "The movies are nearly as good as the books, if I do say so myself. Butchered a few things, but they were good." She replies with a nod. Of course, the book is always better, but the movies were, in fact, pretty nice.
When the conversation ceases, Addison tries to get back into her novel, but she can't slip back into the pages like she did earlier. She doesn't complain though, because the ambience alone was making her tired. Maybe talking will keep her awake. She closes the book and leaves it on her lap, eyes trained on the fireplace for a bit before she looks over at the wandering male.
He's an interesting character, she decides. She watches him concentrating on the build and the details of the building with curiosity. She stands up and stretches, rubbing her eyes in an attempt to rub the residual tiredness out of her body. With a hum, she sits back down again, legs tucked underneath her and the book placed beside him on the side table. "You're on the bus, right? Where are you from?" Her attempt at conversation is unoriginal, but she can't think of much else to say.

Bright and Early // Addison & Gavyn
gavyn-churchill:
Gavyn couldn’t sleep, especially with the thoughts of his past haunting his every move, but not in the way one would think. It was hard for Gavyn to connect to his past when although he recalled most events in his past, he was missing things that made them feel important—almost getting a half assed sparknoted version of his own story. If he took a quiz about his life, he sure would get all the answers correct, but he most definitely wouldn’t understand them.
Gavyn’s fresh start was definitely not starting off the way he would have liked. Every conversation he had, he was at a loss of how to approach it all, especially because the guy he was trying to be, he had forgotten. Gavyn was still trying to grasp onto moments of his past; of course, it was hard not to in his situation. But he figured it was probably time to focus on the present him, rather than living up to something. He would definitely try to be courteous so others could like him, there would be no sense in avoiding people, even if at times, that is exactly what he would have liked to do. Gavyn turned to the male next to him with a grin as he commented about his early presence.
"Uh… Yeah. Just couldn’t sleep much," he nodded, sending a glance to the ground as his thumbs played with each other.
Gavyn had no reason why he chose the main cabin to sit and think, but reasons for things didn’t seem to come to him lately.
Silence took over the moment. Knowing the awkwardness was owed to him he looked over at the male’s book to spark up another topic.
"So how is it?" he said as he attempted to make eye contact with the blonde. "I’ve actually never read those."
Addison found peace and solace in books. The world she lived in could be unbearable at times, and in her many treasured novels, she could escape and forget the day's troubles and worries; get lost in the worn, yellowed pages of her favorite books. It was a calming rhythm for her, turning the pages in a routine fashion: page loosely pinched between her thumb and index finger, gliding her hand down the page as she finished it off, and flipping it with ease to grip the next.
In school, when Hayley wasn't there some days, Addison would find herself in the bathroom--Not the most prime spot for girls her age to spend their lunch, but her place of choice. Her feet would be brought up under her, and she'd put the seat of the toilet down so that she could be comfortable. Then she'd pull out her book and get to reading, easily getting lost within the fictional world within her hands.
When Hayley passed away, Addison retreated further into her novels, rereading Hayley's favourite, Prisoner of Askaban, at least once a month. She preferred to be alone when she read it, but the stranger's company was somewhat appreciated.
Closing the book and brushing her fingers over the raised lettering of the cover, she smiled softly as she lifted her gaze to meet the other's. "Very good. Y'know, you're not the first person here who's said that, and I find that surprising. A very good series, these books are."
imogencarroll:
So, h-how does this s-sound? “C-Carmen Anne smiled at the man, in an attempt to be inconspicuous she said s-something about her cell phone, then began to search her bag for the small laser pointer th-that the agent above her had d-dropped earlier. S-She would be needing it now.”
Hm.. Y'know, I think it sounds pretty good, actually. You shouldn't second guess yourself.
