One of the greatest speeches. I post this every 6/6 but it remains so relevant today. Written impromptuly on the plane, very soon after MLK's murder, you can hear the crowd react as he is announcing the news. (And one of the few times he directly referenced John's death.) It remains one of the most eloquent and beautiful speeches. Humanity still has so much to learn. A reminder of the huge loss for the world. The words and emotion move me every single time.

After nearly 7 hours of waiting, aching feet and sunburn, Richard Armitage was the perfect reward. This was taken right before he came to me. I asked for a photo together, then I thought he had moved on but he made a point of returning and then he thought I didn’t want to be in it and the moment passed. So damn you and your voice that made me feel like I’d been dipped in chocolate for briefly rendering me unable to say of course I want to press my shoulder against yours and grin into the camera like a 14 year old!

Not a great photo but due to a camera malfunction one of only two that survived the festivites.

Also just noticed James Nesbitt is in the background who we missed seeing altogether… clearly we were being dazzled by the dwarf king

The LOR's premiere taught me that short people trying to catch a glimpse of even shorter people is a fruitless exercise. So I'm off to Wellington soon for the Hobbit festivities in the highest shoes I own determined not to miss any sexy dwarf action.
