Just one of the #stopmotion results of the all-day workshop I carried out with GCSE art students at a school near the National Glass Centre, as part of the education outreach, alongside the #afishoutofwater exhibition. Students investigated my project and experimented with basic materials to explore themes such as mystery, narrative, sublime and the effects that lighting and composition can have on these ideas through model making and stop-frame animation.

It was a real pleasure to spend an evening discussing documentary, art, photography, shipbreaking, shipbuilding and its relationship to Sunderland with John Kippin, Mike Crang, Paul Alexander Knox, Carol McKay, the Northeast Photography Network and and a great audience.
