Christmas II Cara and Thomas
He hadnāt planned to be extravagant with the holidays, nothing more than a tree and small trinkets but somehow he was roped into some sort of wild celebration and he could only blamed the thick browed woman currently keeping him company. He was laid on the couch with a glass of wine, consuming his second glass and quite possible another few glasses of vodka or something or other beforehand. Thomas was in a state and he wasnāt going to deny it, but breaks as they were didnāt come by often and he was more than willing to relax for one and not have a worry or care in the world. He closed his eyes now, listening to music and recovering from the last drink heād just finish off- perhaps he needed to slow down. He had time, no need to get wild and roaring drunk or have himself a headache the next morning. āCara?ā he called, wondering where she had gone to, eye half open before he stuck his arm over them. āIām not going to chase you again ā just come outā
Sighing he laid still, he could fall asleep now. It was very quiet and peaceful but it was that very noise that worried him. By now she would had made a noise, either to scare him or just for the hell of it but she wasnāt present at the moment to do such a thing. Instead she seemed to be hiding off somewhere that he couldnāt be bothered to look for. Cara could be planning madness and he would just have to deal with it. āIāll have a heart attack, Iām old!ā he said again, making fun of himself even though he didnāt think of himself old enough to have one. It was pityās sake, just to get her out but that wasnāt working either ā no noise, none at all. He was going to be doomed either way, he thought. āCara?ā he called again, a little more tentatively.
