My, my 40 years. My husband took the first image of me this morning and seeing it made me proud of the life I’ve lived and endured. I love you @andrew.p.weber and Rockford with all my heart. Amongst the phone calls, DMs, texts, gifts and letters two friends sent me the next two treasures. The first from 2014 reminded me I’m a badass. The second from 2011 my first birthday as a mother. A year that changed me for the good. Thank you @jessetobler and @bellaartgirl Thank you to everyone for reminding me today of life’s joys, to cherish every moment of life’s precious gift, and to celebrate the milestones. My heart is full and I’m so optimistic for what the future holds. Hug your loved ones and let them know you care with a word of appreciation. One year anniversary. Last year I had a life changing surgery and today I celebrate the completion of my year of recovery. I’m learning to do life differently and give myself grace. It’s been as much of a mental recovery as a physical one. Chronic pain can change your outlook and so I’m undoing 20+ years of negative impact and rewriting the future.
