“H-Have you seen Victoria? Or mom?” Dia asked, hiccuping as she tried to catch her breath. “Do they know you’re back?”

“Not yet but I will. The three of you will be so sick of me by the end of the month. I’m gluing myself to each of you.”

“There’s no way of finding them. At least not that I’ve found. My father’s been trying, yours has too. Even Scott. He went to where they…found him, because I couldn’t do it.” Allison admitted shakily, trying to swallow a lump in her throat. “I’d have tried looking but Dia and Victoria needed me.”

“There’s no way that we’ve discovered yet, Allie. We won’t let them just get away with it. We can’t. H--he deserves better,” There was so much more than Stiles wanted to add but the tears in his eyes couldn’t let him. Like it was the least he could do for their boy since he wasn’t there when he needed him. “How are the girls?”

Dia hiccuped and nodded. “I-I gotta…I’ve gotta make sure Kaiden can keep Cedric,” she muttered. Even if she knew her brother in law wouldn’t mind, she had to take care of her son no matter how badly she didn’t want to let go of her dad. “Just in case you’re not real I don’t want it going away.”

“I promise you I am very real, but I’m not going to say no to spending time with you as much as I can,” He assured her unable to stop himself as he reached out running a hand through her hair.

Dia had thought she was over the heightened emotions of her parents after having three years with Allison, but everything came flooding back and she couldn’t stop crying. She grasped onto her dad tightly and shut her eyes, trying to believe he was really alive. “I think I might have some idea,” she whispered, “I don’t want to let go.”

“You don’t have to let go, not for a moment if it’s not what you want,” Stiles assured her knowing he wouldn’t want to let her or Victoria go. He had so many questions but he had to pace himself. “I just want to keep you to myself for awhile, baby girl.”

Dia felt her eyes stinging. She couldn’t believe he really was right in front of her after so much time, even if her mother was back. “I-I’m good.” She managed with a shaky smile, fighting the urge to run into his arms. “Daddy, I’m so happy to see you.”

“Come here,” He couldn’t hold off any longer before pulling her into his arms and holding her as tightly as he could, “I’m happy to see you too, little one. I missed you more than you could imagine.”

“I— n-no, not yet.” Dia stuttered, almost positive she was imagining things.

“Th-that’s something at least. How are you?”

“It was a hunter. They never found them.” Allison whispered, hearing her voice crack. She always knew she might have to tell him, but she hated it. “I-I’m so sorry, Stiles.”

“Allison, don’t be sorry. You’re not the one that took our boy out of this world. Once I settle in I’ll start looking for who it was,” It was hard to keep it together but he knew losing it wasn’t an option either.

“Well, the girls are good. Dia’s a mom. His name’s Cedric, he turns four this year. Victoria just got married to Kaiden, so Isaac lost the bet from when they were babies. But Aaron…” Allison’s breath caught and she took a deep breath. It still hadn’t gotten any easier, “h-he’s gone, Stiles. Somebody killed him.”

Stiles’ mind stopped on the fact that his little boy was gone. That somehow he had been taken and he wasn’t there to find the killer like he should have been. “D-Do they know who it was?”

“Surprisingly enough that somehow hasn’t happened yet.”

“That’s a good thing at least. Where’s the kids at?”
