I accidentally deleted (sorry!) an anon message asking:

“Are chest-high styles restrictive for the chest?”

Here’s my reply:

Hi, thanks for the question! I’ve actually never worn chest-high ruqun myself, so I wouldn’t be able to tell you personally if they are restrictive for the chest.

However, from what I’ve read, it seems that it’s not an issue. If you look at the above tutorial (source) of how to wear chest-high ruqun, the skirt is bound with straps that are tied securely, but not to the point where it’d be restrictive.

Of course, if anyone who’s worn chest-high ruqun can share their experience, please chime in ^^

I haven’t worn a chest-high ruqun per se (leaving the house with it), but I have worn moxiong frequently. For me, it generally goes two way: too tight that it is uncomfortable, too loose that it shows my cleavage. Probably because I am just terrible at this.

From what I heard, whether the chest-high ruqun is comfortable depending on three things: cutting, weight, and tying technique. There are two major style in wearing though, tying higher (as shown above), or tying at the bust point.
