I'm bored so here are a few Dr Gears Headcanons of mine:
- he has a sense of humor, unfortunately it's very sarcastic and ironic, so people tend to think he is serious because of his monotone voice
- his nervous system is numbed due to the amount of trauma and accident he went through in his career — this + his numb emotions makes him immune to pain
- talking about numbness, he has a low sense of taste so he can eat basically anything edible. He does have a favorite type of food - spicy food, because it gives him sensation.
- he is 'banned' from playing poker with other employees cuz his lack of reactions gives him an unfair advantage.
- he knows how to play the violin because his father (o5-1) made him learn it at a young age — now he has a one sided beef with violins ( nobody but him and his father)
- he is polyglots
- he is autistic but not diagnosed, because his father doesn't grasp the concept well ( and Gears never question it)
- he couldn't get a toupee or some kind of hair implant because of sensory issues —> he'd try to rip it out
- it rarely happens now due to work but he could get hyperfocus on repairing a clock or creating mechanism
- oh yeah, that kind of stuff is his special interest
