Why do you think he's a soul mate?

Today a friend asked me why I think my boyfriend is my soul mate. This friend met me after a break up, when I was single.

First, I'd like to explain what soul mate means to me.

I believe we can have different soul mates in life, even they're romantic or not. And when they change a lot their energy (or we change ours) we can stop being soul mates. We can have friends and family that are equally soul mates to us.

Now, regarding my friend's question... I thought it would be hard to explain why my boyfriend is my soul mate, because even we share interests and plans to the future, this is what we usually do when in a relationship, right?

We also have a lot of differences including language and background because we're not even from the same country.

But I realized that, when I look to myself and remember the kind of person I always wanted in my life even before I fall for the first time, I feel he's the person I've been looking for.

Each detail of his personality (even those I never shared I'd like in a reltionship), he has it.

I also look to my history and his, and I feel as we've been preparing ourselves to live this relationship since ever. All of the partners we had before, our personal tastes and choices, our changes and beliefs, seems to be part of the choice we're living now.

So I'm proud to say we're living the best of this relationship by this moment. I'm proud I didn't give up of love when I was hurt in past, and that he didn't give up from me (because I was too afraid to accept I fell for someone again).
