βBecause,β he drawls, rolling slightly onto his side, propping his head up with one arm while the other gently plays with your fingers, βI see you lying there, looking all warm and soft, like the perfect pillow, and part of me thinksβ¦ Iβm just orbiting you, and every part of me wants to give in. To stop holding back and justβ¦ land.β
You snort, trying to stifle a laugh, but heβs not done.
βAnd Iβd be warm, youβd be warm. Weβd both win. I mean, sure, you might not be able to breathe for a second, but isnβt that the price of love?β
βSylus,β you wheeze between giggles, βyouβre literally over six feet tall. You would crush me.β
He feigns deep offense. βCrush you? Cradle you in overwhelming affection, you mean.β
Then, with no warning, he dramatically flops down on you, all long limbs and warmth, pinning you beneath him with just enough weight to make it feel like youβre being hugged by a furnace.
βSee? Perfect,β he mumbles into your neck, clearly refusing to move. βThis is love. Iβm not moving for the next thousand years.β
You let out a muffled groan, arms instinctively curling around him despite the squish. βYouβre lucky I like you.β
He grins, voice already growing sleepy against your skin. βI know.β
