Sweet, ridiculous, or both.
You raise an eyebrow, suspicious already. โThat sounds dangerous.โ
He chuckles, low and warm. โIโm serious. I donโt think Iโve ever put my full weight on you.โ
You blink. โWhy would you?โ
โBecause,โ he drawls, rolling slightly onto his side, propping his head up with one arm while the other gently plays with your fingers, โI see you lying there, looking all warm and soft, like the perfect pillow, and part of me thinksโฆ Iโm just orbiting you, and every part of me wants to give in. To stop holding back and justโฆ land.โ
You snort, trying to stifle a laugh, but heโs not done.
โAnd Iโd be warm, youโd be warm. Weโd both win. I mean, sure, you might not be able to breathe for a second, but isnโt that the price of love?โ
โSylus,โ you wheeze between giggles, โyouโre literally over six feet tall. You would crush me.โ
He feigns deep offense. โCrush you? Cradle you in overwhelming affection, you mean.โ
Then, with no warning, he dramatically flops down on you, all long limbs and warmth, pinning you beneath him with just enough weight to make it feel like youโre being hugged by a furnace.
โSee? Perfect,โ he mumbles into your neck, clearly refusing to move. โThis is love. Iโm not moving for the next thousand years.โ
You let out a muffled groan, arms instinctively curling around him despite the squish. โYouโre lucky I like you.โ
He grins, voice already growing sleepy against your skin. โI know.โ
