Every time I see him with a bandana tied around his forehead, I know what he’s feeling ... he has a headache. Yet, it doesn’t stop him from being activate after his arrival at home from work however. As a full-time student, I am not able to see them as they arrive at home because I’m on campus.This photo essay has been my toughest challenge by far because of the different schedules my parents and I have; however, I am determined to complete this project. 

He tends to improvise a lot. He is very active when he is determined. He is funny. He is my dad.

Whether it's one of my four sisters or my mother, it's has been daily routine baking home made tortillas.

I would like to include a picture of my grandparents for this project. Although they are thousands of miles away, they are always in my mother's conscious. They speak through the phone when there is an opportunity; yet, it even better when they see each other through Skype ... A beauty of technology.

I still remember seeing my grandfather picking oranges when I was a little boy and spoiling me with snacks. I remember seeing him alike the elder man's shoes, above. Although my grandfather is so far away, he seems so close. Time sure passes by quick.

As a documentary photographer, I will focus on two primary subjects. My parents have been farm workers for more than 20 years. Last semester in Neil's class, I was able to experience documenting farm workers for my photo book project. For this project, I will share with my classmates my parent's world when they are not exposed to the sun's rays as farm workers.

I will be focusing on my mom for a 3 minute documentary video in my field production course this Spring. 

Listening to music is what my father loves. He tends to buy old-school stereos at thrift stores.
