Hey, nice to meet you again, and I got a Metal Masters question: What if the writers sticked to the original quintett of Gingka, Kenta, Madoka, Benkei and Kyoya for the World Championship? I think it would rarely change anything about how it went: Kenta will just be the best pal of Gingka and have Masamune's role. Kyoya, with him being bested by Ryuga and his soul being stolen, could take over the Dark Power plotline and we could see him deal with his inner darkness. Benkei would probably get around the same amount of battles as Yu.
Madoka is just being Madoka, lol! I think that would have also worked and perhaps be better recieved than Gang Gang Galaxy in Canon, even if I love the Team, despite some balancing issues. What do you think? Would this team have been the same, or worked better or worse? Your thought are asked! Btw finished my Beyblade Astrology Analysis so far...will perhaps revaluate it, check it out my friend!
Hi. Sorry I took some time to respond.
This is an interesting question. I think if you simply aim to replicate masters but with the original gang it could work. However, I think the interaction could work differently. Kenta and Masamune are different in that the first is more, let's say, respectful of Ginga than the second. Masamune sees Ginga as someone to surpass while Kenta admires him.
Benkei would probably do as Kyoya says so he would not be as petulant as Yu.
Kyoya is more difficult for me to imagine being part of Gan Gan Galaxay mainly because he changed direction with his beyblade philosophy after Fusion. He went back to the wolf canion, trained a lot more (dangerously), and became less friendly. For example, he doesn't mention the bladder spirit; instead, he talks about the power of nature, and he doesn't bump into Ginga anymore. Though if Kyoya were to be part of team Japan I think he would have been more independent than Tsubasa with the objective of winning the championship and challenging the strongest opponents (like Julian and Dashan) before battling Ginga.
That being said, it could have been an opportunity to explore Kyoya and Kenta's relationship. They acknowledge each other's existence but that's about it when they have so many parallels.
With Kyoya doing what he wants if he was in the team, I think Madonna would have much more work.
Of course all of this is just speculation.
can we get a chris and yu duo I think that would be cool and funny 👍
(love ur art btw it always brings me such joy)
asked the older one to complete a difficult level ahh moment (thank youuuu)
i miss manga damian what this kid could have had if the show let him exist after Hades ...
also, these are two different Kerbecs, Hades and a new one he made post-arrangement bc Hades no longer obeyed him.

Hello. I apologize if you've already been asked this question, but out of curiosity, if you were given the opportunity to improve/rewrite “Metal Fury” without any constraints (such as a maximum number of episodes), what changes would you make?
Honestly, I really like this season, but I like it even more with the adjustments I've imagined to correct its flaws, namely that it's too short for too many characters and the developments that have to happen at breakneck speed. For example, I'd add more twists and turns or interactions between the characters, such as Aguma taking care of Dunamis when he is hypnotized because possession is very physically demanding, which begins to make him realize that he is not on the right side, moments of rapprochement between the new characters, Yuki reflecting more on his position as a legendary Blader in relation to his ancestor and concluding that even without this past, even if he hadn't received a star fragment, he would still have fought Nemesis to save the world he loves to live in, or the story of the first generation of legendary Bladers in ancient times.
I was curious to hear your thoughts on the matter if it inspired you, but if not, don't feel pressured, I understand. Thank you in advance for taking the time anyway!
Hello, and thank you for asking.
Rewriting Metal Fury is something I’ve already thought about. With the right number of episodes and a better distribution of focus among the characters, most of the issues could have been resolved.
As for the changes I would make:
I think the first part, up to the Variares arc/Destroyer Dome, is fine as it is. I would slightly alter Ryuga’s motivation: he would want to obtain the Star Fragments more because he believes he is the only one capable and worthy of using them.
I would also find a way to include Team Excalibur, perhaps as part of the Destroyer Dome arc or through a European tournament. This could add intrigue around the Legendary Blader and provide a more concrete reason for Kyoya’s growing impatience, which would later tie into his solo arc. Though I can see how this might feel a bit repetitive.
Here’s a corrected and more polished version of your paragraph, with clearer parallels and improved flow:
Additionally, in the first round, I would replace the two random characters with Ryutaro and Teru. If Tobio can participate, there’s no reason they can’t be included as well. Narratively, these two make sense as opponents for the Garcias, to symbolize the opportunity to chose your own path: Ryutaro, with his divination, could demonstrate that the Garcias have the ability to shape their own future, despite their tragic origins in a similar way to Teru, who embraced Beyblade after losing his ballet career. Though I think Zeo, Toby and Tsubasa can also embody that since despite the terrible circonstances they faced during Masters they are still playing Beyblade passionatly. I would give them the bigger role like in canon so Teru, Ryuataro, and Tobio wouldn't steal them too much from the spotlight. Having them battle is cool enough; sadly, when it comes to Beyblade, not every character can shine.
For the Mist Mountain arc, I believe it would be beneficial to delve deeper into Dynamis’s personal background. It would be interesting if a Beyblade battle determined which side he joined: for example, Ginga would need to defeat him for Dynamis to ally with them, giving them a chance to connect. I'm not going to lie Dynamis is far from being my favorite character and I am a bit clueless as to how to make him better as a character and outside of the lore. I guess all the mysteries surrounding him and the lore are his biggest strength. Though you proposed an interesting idea regarding Aguma helping him.
Regarding Yuki, I agree that his arc ended a bit abruptly. I would have him reflect more on his role and how destiny influenced his life, culminating in a revenge battle against Johannes on Beystar Island. Defeating the person who attacked him at the beginning of the season would provide a satisfying conclusion to his arc.
Chris should have been introduced earlier. While I like the idea of him as a Blader mercenary, it comes too late and lacks sufficient stakes. Instead, I would keep Chris in the military with the same backstory, but rather than becoming a mercenary, he joins the army because he finds a sense of purpose and belonging, and his skills are recognized. The army could send him to spy on Ginga and locate the Legendary Blader, as they might have some knowledge of Nemesis. I’m not sure where he would first appear; perhaps replacing Jigsaw in the Destroyer Dome if Excalibur isn’t included. He would still be the Legendary Blader of Winter, and his powers would awaken during his fight with Masamune, as the battle reignites some his passion for Beyblade. However, I recognize it would be tricky to justify Chris joining the antagonists without the money incentive.
One thing I would love is having more lore, info and flashbacks on the Hades Cult: when was it formed, where does Rago come from? Was Pluto the one to recruit Ziggurat?
These are just some of the ideas that came to mind. I hope they weren’t too bland.
Thank you again.

Why Madoka from Metal Fight Beyblade is an unusual female lead for a kodomo with codes of nekketsu/shonen
(I'll only be talking about same genres animes that aired during the same period as MFB, like Inazuma Eleven, Dinosaure King and others that come to mind, maybe a little of Pokemon too. My arguments may not apply to today animes and should be considered only for the time MFB anime ran in Japan)
Recently got back into Beyblade and I wanna talk about one of my favourite MFB characters:
Madoka Amano.
YES! The only character that doesn't battle. The "nurse" of MFB. The healer of your party in RPGs. The typical female character lead in kodomo/shonen because apparently, they absolutely need a girl for that.
I guess it's because it's viewed as cute in Japan to see a girl taking care of others instead of kicking the boys' asses in battles.
You know what wasn't cute for a girl in Japan when MFB ran? BEING A SCIENTIFIC NERD.
And what Madoka is? A SCIENTIFIC NERD.
She knows a lot about science, from physics to computer science. She hacked the Dark Nebula security system, she spends her time explaining that hot air goes up and that fire can't exist without oxygen.
She's like between 10~17yo at most and she REWROTE A ROCKET LAUNCHING PROGRAM, A AUTO-PILOTE PROGRAM FOR THE ROCKET, sent her friend to space and got him back safely on Earth. In like 15min. Without having done it for real before since I doubt they learn that in elementary or high school in Japan.
The only guy who more or less seduced her succeeded by TALKING SWEET SHIT ABOUT A PHYSIC THEORY CALLED THE "STRING THEORY".
Don't be fooled, Madoka isn't interested in Alexei himself. She's interested in HIS SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE. He's the first character with whom she can talk about physics and computers and astronomy.
She's surrounded by idiots who only think about Beyblade (sometimes food), LET THE GIRL HAVE SOME FUN FOR ONCE
Speaking of the idiots, their 2 brain cells are at least able to work to acknowledge Madoka's skills and knowledge.
Aki and Haruna from Inazuma Eleven are listened to because they're decent human beings. Natsumi spent half saison 1 treatening the club so they listen to her more by fear. Fuyuka too, is a decent human being. Zoe from Dinosaure King is mostly treated like Max and Rex because she does the same as them. But when it comes to things outside what the boys knows, she's more disregarded by them.
Madoka? YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MECANIC SO SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND GIVE ME YOUR PEGASUS
Her skills are acknowledged by the others. She is respected for that and the anime never forget it. How?
By showing every now and then that she was right. The characters admit when they are wrong and she is right. The anime punishes the characters when they don't listen to her.
Gingka mentions that Madoka taught him how to grill fish. Later in Metal Fight, when he learns that the Ultimate Battle was a setup to feed power to L-Drago, he remembers that she warned them and they didn't listen.
In the movie, he acknowledges that the gang thought only of themselves when they all came back to play Beyblade. So he offers to go back to the beach to make up for not thinking about her.
Sure for Japanese people it's more of a way to show the "you gotta look confident to not worry others". If we were in an other kodomo/shonen, the main girl would be sweating or internally praying (again, probably because in Japan it was seen as cute).
What is Madoka doing? CHECKING A BUNCH OF TECHNICAL STUFF. She's about to launch 2 people into space and she's looking at NUMBERS like she's analysing a bey. She acts perfectly calm. No hesitation.
We know she is stressed because of the little silence right before Gingka talks about the beach (and that's probably because of this silence that he decided to talk about something light).
But look at all the dangerous nonsense she witnessed in Metal Fight. 3 EVIL DRAGONS almost destroyed the world some months ago. And she remained mostly calm about it. So launching a rocket into space? As normal as breathing.
(sidenote: I think it's very smart to portray a character being stressed by having them concentrated on their task to the point they're silent)
Ah, so you expected the characters to protect her? Like most of the non-fighting girls in kodomo/shonen?
My friend, she watched an ancient devil dragon battling at full power like 20m away. And she survived. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO PROTECT HER FROM?
An overheating nuclear-like reactor? Pffff! Gingka my friend, Madoka already witnessed almost the end of the world. She can handle one more or two. And also, she probably understands the danger more than you.
No MFB character is protected more than necessary. When they try to, they get ignored or shown they were wrong.
When Madoka does it, most of the time it's because the beys are at risk. Except when she tried to stop Nemesis from attacking Kenta. That moment was ridiculous and useless. But Metal Fury second half has the most of "what the heck was that even for" moments anyway.
My 15yo GinMado shipper self loved this frame but hated the previous one
So, we get it. Madoka is a science nerd, she has guts and the writing respects her character throught all the MFB saga. Is this everything?
NO.
Madoka is also a good cook, she seems to like pink and maybe wears makeup, she enjoys sunbathes, she worries about her friends, she's the "healer", she enjoys shopping... Things that are (sadly) seen as cute and girly only, especially in Japan.
But my point is that Madoka has interests in "boy-ish" stuff AND "girly" stuff. It's more common for a female lead in kodomo/shonen to being either a tomboy or a girly girl. Touko from Inazuma Eleven is a tomboy so she has no interest in fashion before GO. Rika is really into fashion and romance.
Zoe from Dinosaure King is more balanced but her more "girly-side" is made fun of.
MFB doesn't make fun of Madoka no matter which "side" of her is portrayed. She's praised for both. The boys may not understand how Greece is romantic but they don't disrespect her reaction. She may bring an unpractical suitcase when looking for Koma Village but she switches to a backpack the second time (and I can tell you a lot of big city folks would the same mistake).
Of course it's perfectly fine to have a tomboy or a very feminine/"girly" girl. I simply find it nice that for once a female lead has these 2 sides and none of them is treated as a comic relief.
Tsubasa also seems to like sunbaths, as we see in the movie and Hyoma looks pretty good at grilling food
Madoka was created by the anime staff because there wasn't enough female characters, according to the mangaka. They chose to make her a female yet science nerd probably to advertize the real beys because they needed a character to tell you how awsome the real beys are. This unusual choice came out at the expense of making their female lead a popular character.
Note: Madoka doesn't appear in the manga except to say 2 lines here and then. It seems Takafumi Adachi is very fond of her though, judging by how much he draws her compared to other female characters that are from the MFB manga.

some things I noticed
First: A funny thing I noticed in that scene is the change in Pegasus Facial expression from not acception "I don't want to go there" to desperation and and then acception and being pulled into it
Another thing I noticed about Pegasus. Sometimes it feels, that Pegasus is sometimes just waiting to be punched/hit or snatched by his opponent. For example against Reiji, Pegasus was just stopp fighting and staring at Pegasus and doing nothing, during getting snatched by Poison Serpent.
Second example: against Orso, there are even twice examples in that Fight. The First one as Orso was using its special move Russian Bear hook. There he was literally waiting for it. Not even moving he was watching at Orso and didn't move or tried to dodge it. The second example in this fight is as he could dogde Orsos attack and throw him into the cage, after that Pegasus was also just staring at Orso as he was about to strike agains and rings Pegasus on its back.
The third example: the third example against Damian and Jack in the street battle, as Damian summoned the gate of Hades which opens and chains were just shooting out to snatch and pull Pegasus into the hell again. And Pegasus were just watching as the chains wraps around its body, like he want to get pulled into the hell.I don't know if it just me, but i got the feeling that Pegasus sometimes just want that or is absolutely underestimating his opponents.
And for the Final two funny random Screenshots of scenes as I paused the video of the fights. The one is looking like Pegasus is smiling like he wants to get slapped and in the srcond it is just a dumb and funny facial expression.
Basically how Zeo would look if all his hair had turned blonde because of the arrangement.
It's a little silly but the first time I saw this shot, I was like seven or so; I thought for an instant that Pegasus's wings were ribs. As if he was progressively becoming weaker and thinner because he and Ginga were in Hell.
Love how Kenta was enthusiastic when Ryuga won against Jack. Maybe I am overanalysing it, but it's fun to see it knowing what will happen in Metal Fury.
From Fusion to Fury, Kenta really has grown; he seems slightly taller than Yu at the end of the series.

About Hades Gate
Hades/Hell's Gate is an iconic special move in the Metal Saga. It is literally consisting on Damian summoning the gates of hell. It notably can create a pocket dimension in which Damian is nearly all powerful.
The Gates themselves are large and intimidating: they are dark silver and seems made of metals. There is what looks like flame and the doors while the pillars from each sides features countless humans bodies looking like they are trying to crawl out of hell. At the top of the Gates there is the three-headed dog Cerberus and wings on the background. The decoration here makes sense considering Cerberus represents Cerberus. The wings are more odd since Cerberus lives in the underworld and they could be here simply decorative. Wings can symbolize freedom (which is ironic for Damian) but also connection with the divine, this makes more sense considering Damian sees himself as the chosen one. It could also be a subtle way to build an opposition between Cerberus and Pegasus because the latter is famous for its wings.
It is interesting to note that Hades Gate is more flexible than it seems:
Against Julian Wales and Sophie it was used as usual special move; it was finishing attack to defeat to opponents.
During the fight with Ginga and Kyoya there was of course the hellish dimension in which Damian can manipulates chain and fire to torture his opponents.
Finally Damian also used Hades Gates to manifest the Kerbecs beast and send him into the sky to counter Pegasus's Stardust Driver.
It is unclear what the people outside the gate and watching the fight see, but it seems what happens in the gate is real considering that Ginga was able to hear Kyoya scream and the former was all beaten up after escaping Kerbecs's special move.
It could very well works like Ryutaro's Distortion Dive which creates an illusion that everything disappear as well as the sensation that the victim is freezing or on fire. Coincidentally Damian and Ryutaro have similar hair styles.
The Kerbecs spirit noticeably only appears when the gates manifest and inside of them. I think it ties well with the fact that it's not an usual Beyblade since Kerbecs represents an obsolete constellations. Also it is like it can only exist with and within the hell dimension, like Damian as a blader can only exist as part of Hades Inc.
