You know, for a generation of students that are supposedly computer geniuses, the fact that over half of them cannot successfully manage a simple Excel assignment is just kind of pathetic.  No wonder the economy is so despondent.

Ouch. While it’s no excuse for their poor skills with Excel, don’t you think it’s a bit unfair to blame the state of the economy on them? In all honesty it’s their parent’s generation that’s really to blame for the state of things right now, after all.

Want a surefire way to get your students’ attention? Hit them where it hurts and show them how easy it is to have your financial information hacked when you have easily guessable passwords. We’re living in the age of social media and everything digital… surf smart, people.

Oh yikes! Sounds like a smart lesson plan, but perhaps a little unethical depending on if you’re just teaching about it or actually hacking into accounts? Hopefully the former?

Which DC Universe Earth is Best?

Yeah– the whole idea is that there are different universes that “vibrate at a different frequency” so they can occupy the same space, but not the same time.  And different stuff happened, like the Nazis won WWII, or the Westward Expansion never happened, or all the heroes are actually villains, and so the people are still there, but the way the world works is totally different.  So it’s really cool.  Basically that’s how comic books originally justified different origin stories or motivations for the same characters– kind of like a comic book fan fiction, if you will, that became canon.

....I’m not gonna lie-- I don’t think I got any of that. Like I get what you said, but it just seems like a cop-out? Or like that it would get really confusing to keep track of at very least... I don’t know-- I don’t do comics, so it’s whatever.
