Scientists Find Evidence for Ninth Planet in Solar System

A planet larger than Earth could be hiding in the cold, dark depths of the solar system. The presence of the planet, which would lie far beyond Pluto, is betrayed by the curious orbits of a handful of distant icy worlds.

A ninth large planet may lurk deep in the outer solar system. The planet, illustrated here, is far from the sun and thought to be gaseous like Uranus and Neptune, though smaller than both ice giants.

As described Wednesday in the Astronomical Journal, the gravitational signature of a large, lurking planet is written into the peculiar orbits of these farflung worlds. Called extreme Kuiper Belt Objects, the misbehaving bodies trace odd circles around the sun that have puzzled scientists for years.

It’s tantalizing evidence that a ninth large planet might live in the solar system, though the world hasn’t been detected yet.

F2F: “Yes, Master,” Kieran said as he crawled over and knelt by his Master, his head bowed respectfully as he waited for his next instructions. The Switch was looking forward to being allowed to do pet play tonight. It wasn’t something that they did often, and he tried not to think about the last time doing a pet play scene had gotten brought up, it wasn’t his best moment. But, Kieran was looking forward to doing it, to getting into a different head space than being a slave.

Aaron gave his claim a look. “Since when do pups use human words?” He asked with an arched eyebrow. He knew it had been some time since they’d done pet play, but that was no excuse for the mistake.

F2F: They didn’t, Kieran knew that. It was on the tip of his tongue to apologize to his Master, but he stopped himself and stayed silent. His head lowered and he wasn’t sure what to do, how to please his Master.

"Much better." He said softly, nodding. He reached a hand forward to run his fingers through Kieran's hair. "Fetch your tail. No hands."

Well...

That’s a relief because the week I had to unpack before classes has now vanished and I still haven’t had a chance to get a grip of this place.

That’s quite the pity. As you are new, I’ll take the chance to welcome you to Grimm’s Creek, and express the hope that I hope the majority of the strangeness will cease. I’m Dr. Aaron Dale, the science teacher here.

Wasn’t it though? Did you get any effects? I was a fox, apparently. But my room was a deep patch of woods, so that was kind of nice.

A couple of my rooms turned to a castle, and Kieran sprouted wings. It was interesting, but in a good sort of way, I suppose.
