This is the most heartbreaking yet beautiful story ever told.

It follows Kya, the Marsh Girl and her tragic, lonely childhood. As Kya practically raises herself, she learns all about the Marsh and how every creature has a important part to play in the circle of life. A friend helps her learn to read and write and she falls in love with him but this does come with complications.

Whilst it touches on sensitive subjects of domestic violence, the writing is exquisite and I would recommend everyone to read this book as soon as possible.

This was one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have visited in the UK. My second favourite would be St David’s Cathedral in Wales.

The buildings in York were nothing short of beautiful.

We stayed in an Airbnb down Lady Picketts Yard and I cannot recommend it enough!

My favourite places we visited were:

- Merchants adventurers Hall

- York Muesum and Gardens

- York Minster

The perfect day.

My current read, I’m only half way through this book but I love it. It is a sad story of two broken people who are injured from two differing incidents yet find a way to fall in love with each other behind the hospital curtain.

Sort of reminds me of the Fault in our Stars (although completely different circumstances), we all remember how big this book was especially in the tumblr community.
