can moonpaw be our community owned original character. the new wctumblr mascot.

i want moonpaw to have a deep connection with the moonpool, not in the typical medicine cat way but in the sense that she is bonded with it like it's a living thing. she discovers it can speak but no one ever hears it because starclan's chatter always drowns it out and it has so much to say and so much that needs to be said and she's the only one who will listen so it asks her if she can be its voice for it. it wants to see the world but it doesn't have a body so maybe she can be its body, too, it suggests. she knows the water has been poisoned when she wakes up one morning screaming because it feels like her blood is on fire

here is my vision. i'm imagining her initially having a plotline like bristlefrost and sunbeam where she likes a boy- let's call him jakeyfur. for the sake of painting a vivid picture- but is sad because she's sure he doesn't like her back, and so she's determined to be a great warrior and catch his attention and all that. but as time goes on and she spends more time in the company of the moonpool she starts thinking about jakeyfur less and less. she started out so outgoing and eager to please but lately her clanmates notice that she's been acting strangely distant, distracted. "no time to talk" she always chirps back at anyone who might try to catch her while she's dashes off to some unseen destination beyond the camp grounds. weird! and then in the next book, jakeyfur approaches moonpaw and says something to her. she doesn't notice him at first because she's too busy tracing circles in the dirt with her claw (always the same, oblong circle, with the jagged ridges and the same dent on its bottom half. sooooo weird!), humming cheerfully to herself. jakeyfur repeats that his gf has broken up with him and he's decided he wants to give it a try with her, which briefly stuns moonpaw out of her thoughts to acknowledge him. she says she's sorry but she's not interested, still without even looking at him. jakeyfur is confused. "but you told me you wanted to be mates, remember?" jakeyfur says as he trots after moonpaw, who is by now hurrying quickly away in the other direction. for a moment, moonpaw stops in her tracks to regard him, briefly pausing as she searches for the right words. "well i used to.. all those moons ago.. it's just that now..." in her minds eye she sees a tiny, shimmering wave lap gently against the stone floor, her face reflected lovingly on the water's surface, and she sighs. "...it's just that i like someone else now!" she says, laughing giddily and then darting in the direction of the caves, where she will proceed to spend the rest of her day
